Default Need Aasimar true ranger build help, Im lost

I have 3 toons, all rangers, 1 is Aasimar w/ falconry tree.

    I originally had a dex based ranger/rogue/monk w/out 10K starz.

Now my build is an Aasimar w/ wisdom hit& dmge.

Ive noticed the dps is much lower than my old dex builds, (I used strintoms acid build)

I have +6 tomes, and several human, ranger PL's w/ moderate gear. & low level crafting.

I want to utilize the extra healing hands, and the falconry attacks, but my guild mates on cannith had differing opinions on how I should maximize this build.

Im lost, I feel the wisdom based true ranger builds can be decent and even great.

I was told the doubleshot is what I should strive for, but I cant get a good grip on AA or Sniper for T5 or the core's w/ doubleshot.

The points are spread out too much for my limited knowledge on using falconry tree.

    Thanks in advance.

No help? wow, I thought these forums (like LotRO) would be reaching out to a struggling player.

Sad panda, plenty of people worried about how the devs will reward them for 3 days of moving equipment, but no one pays attention to a returning player's plea for help.

Dude, no offense, but you waited less than an hour on a weeknight when the Lamannia (preview) server is open. Most of us are messing with Tieflings and/or Inquisitive builds right now. I only happened to see your post while looking for info on the latter.

I had no idea the preview server was open, my bad, I dont read a lot of the forums.

Your name looks familiar, Ive seen it on the class and build threads. Any help you can provide would be most appreciated. (I'll be in the kitchen cooking bacon)

    https://ddowiki.com/page/Doubleshot

One of the reasons Strimtom's build works so well as a pure ranger is it maxes out the available Doubleshot from the ranger trees: 25% from the last two AA core Enhancements; another 40% from Strikes Like Lightning and Killer (when you have max stacks). Along the way it picks up the +1 crit range and multiplier bonuses from both trees plus various other DPS goodies. The downside is there's literally no wiggle room with your APs: 41 AA + 39 DWS leaves zero left over (excluding any racial-only APs you have). You could drop a few from tier-5 DWS, but there's little if anything you could buy with those APs which would be better DPS.

So along comes Falconry and you're thinking: "Ah ha! Now I can turn WIS into my to-hit, damage, and Paralyzing Arrow DC stat all at once. It's perfect!" But there's a huge catch: you gotta siphon a lot of APs from AA and/or DWS. It costs 12 APs just to get WIS to damage (Killer Instinct) and about twice that to get the tier-4 Falconry abilities like Deadly Instinct. At the very least, you have to give up one of the big Doubleshot bonuses (Strikes Like Lightning or AA capstone) because that's 32 + 41 = 73 APs minimum.

Now I don't have Falconry yet nor any epic rangers at the moment, so this is all just theorycrafting on my part. But if I was going to do WIS-based Aasimar or Scourge ranger, I think I'd do something like this:
    Code:
    Scourge Falcon Archer
    Ranger 20
    True Neutral Aasimar Scourge

    Stats
                   36pt Tome Level Up
                   ---- ---- --------
    Strength 8 +2 4: WIS
    Dexterity 16 +5 8: WIS
    Constitution 16 +2 12: WIS
    Intelligence 8 +2 16: WIS
    Wisdom 20 +2 20: WIS
    Charisma 8 +2 24: WIS
                                     28: WIS

    3. Pin (Tier 2 Shiradi)
    4. School Specialist: Enchantment (Tier 2 Magister)
    5. Rejuvenation Cocoon (Tier 1 Primal)
Obviously if you don't have at least 7 racial APs, you need to decide whether to drop Stronger Bonds or tier-4 Falconry.

FotW is all about the burst DPS from Adrenaline. And the helpless damage bonuses from Sense Weakness + No Mercy should stack together. So your basic combat rotation when your abilities are off cooldown will look like:
    1. CC an enemy with Pin or a bird attack.
    2. Use Adrenaline + <Sniper Shot | Arrow of Slaying> combo on helpless mob.

The rest of the time you can use Paralyzing Arrows to freeze mobs. EDIT: Otto's Whistler is like Paralyze; it stops the mob but doesn't render them helpless.

Like I said, the downside to this approach vs Strimtom's build is all the APs you had to move from DWS to Falconry. Bosses are immune to stuns so you won't get the bonus damage from No Mercy + bird attacks which is kinda the point of the Falconry tree, IMO. That's when you'll really miss the extra Doubleshot etc. from DWS. In fact you may wish to experiment to see is tier-4 DWS (Killer) + tier-3 Falconry (WIS to dmg) is a better combo for you than what I proposed.
