    Default Build Request - Elite Soloer for Unfamiliar Content

    Hey so I've been playing for a lot of years but for the majority of that time I've run like a small subset of content over and over - I think my next life I want to run every quest on elite so I can finally get a good RTR quest map going for my personal preferences- and I'm wondering if anyone has builds that can pretty much handle every situation at all levels. I don't prefer soloing but I find myself doing it most of the time. I do have some preferences:
    -Super high aoe damage (casting pref)
    -I absolutely abhor getting killed by traps
    -I don't like dying, and especially don't like having to release
    -I like having some form of easy mode aoe CC (color spray, web, mass hold, evards, etc)
    -I like to be powerful from at least like level 4 onward
    -I don't like being controlled
    -I like fast (both runspeed/casting speed/attack speed)
    -I don't like feeling useless when I run out of resources (I do have the gold seal hire with divine vitality and if something is too long or I run out of SP on content I don't want to start over, I am totally okay derping around and waiting for that to come off cooldown)

    Anyone have any recommendations? I was thinking evasion arti and casting/runearm focus along with some range ability with, eventually, the new Inquisitive tree splash for easymode traps/easymode equipment through the anniversary crossbow and eventually good crit threat.
    That or pale master with 2 arti splash for the instances I run out of spell points

    So really just best equipped to solo content that I do not know.
    I have all classes/trees/content and +7 supreme tome so sky's the limit.

    Honestly the ability to blast through content I do know and be able to have the resources to take the slow methodical approach as well is kind of key here.

    Concept:
    Relies on Arti SLA/Hirelings for out of combat healing, focusing on the repeaters until level 12 with spellsword and runearms bolstering damage, and then switches to light/heavy crossbows at level 12 with the inquisitive T5s for lots of damage. Maintains good spellpower to match rune arm and spellblade, and uses whatever persistent aoe to match as well as maximized fireballs/acid blasts/etc for aoe burst damage. Has charms and CC for the majority of the game and should be able to handle any situation.
    Eventually moves into Wraith with negative healing for extra defenses if EEs are desired.

    Concept
    Once again making use of the upcoming inquisitive tree - mostly because A - I like dual crossbows over repeaters (seem to be higher DPS top), and B - inquisitive tree has a lot in it that I like (fort bypass, improved critical profile prior to lv 20, Nothing Is Hidden effect, PRR/MRR/Stacking Dodge/Fort Bypass, Oshi- buttons) - most of which doesn't work nearly as well without the Diplomatic Immunity T5. I could also focus more on Battle Engineer should I Need more damage but I opted for embed component, constructive conduit, and reinforced armor to go for a tankier layout as damage is probably just fine for elite/EEs.

    The main drawback to this route under wizard is just less control and aoe damage options early on. Runearm should largely make up for the damage issue and I don't really find needing a ton of control until Ravenloft/TOEE/Slavers in heroics and hopefully flame turret should help with all that. I do think this is an easier build to pull off as it's pretty bog-standard Arti but I'm still undecided at this point.

    For a Wizard, dump the 2nd level of Arti. 1 is all you need for trapping and the dog, and you want your Wiz spells asap. The repeater is largely there as backup, and while a free Runearm blast is a nice perq, having each Tier of spells +1 level earlier, AND having your Wiz caster levels and DC's all +1 level higher, is FAR more important.

    If you want, since you're losing the capstone, you could add 1 level of Barb late (after DBFB?) for the kiting speed in Epics - but you're losing another caster/spell/DC level, so might well be an overall loss.)


    That said, go pure Arti (or something along those lines?*). Esp if you can go Warforged, just so self-sufficient. Altho' the Gnome Colorspray is money too.

    The Wiz is a strong build, but for your Build-for-All-Seasons concept, the Arti is the way to go. Evasion style means light armor, pure can go medium/heavy and dive into the Renegade Mastermaker tree for crazy boosts to PRR/etc.

    Warforged can crazy self-heal, but fleshy Arti's have their healing grenades that work okay on themselves, and get to UMD Heal scrolls fast (take Skill Focus:UMD early(ish), then swap it out a few levels later once you've got it covered).

    Yeah after playing on Lama the two builds that stuck out was pure arti (melee RMM/BE and ranged Inq or BE/RMM work really well) and 18 Mnk/1 Rog/1 Drd henshin (tons of healing every 6 seconds as well as stellar defenses and dex based makes you pretty much immortal in heroics it seems, and that build does an absolutely stupid amount of damage)

    Since I'll want to focus on more tools, I'll be playing the Arti but if I want Sorc levels of blowing things up as a melee, at least now I know what to build.
