Sorry for interrupting the mass forum spreads of wanting to be compensated and things people have done while DDO is down. However, I have some rather bad news that ties into my old thread and if you have read that thread then you will probably know what is coming next.
It is sad to report that Jim (my grandpa) passed away 5:30am Friday morning, he went very peacefully in his sleep like we all wanted and I would like to report that he was just as part of this community to DDO as anyone else, rather old players or new players. He loved playing rogue splashes to solo with, but didn't get very far on some of them, but that's besides the point - I asked him a question a while back about how he liked DDO, he used 2 words... 'Spectacular & Fun' He played the most with us as a combined group and we ran together as a guild with some very fond memories.
He fought MS for 32 years, cancer for 2 years, COPD for 6 months - 1 year and various infections over the last few months, he was a strong fighter but he believed it was his time to go and eventually everything caught up to him. He fought in the navy for a couple of years and spread joy to many players inside and outside of the game and very much in real life.
Thank you all for reading this paragraph and a have a lovely week!
