The downtime was for the good of the game. Lost VIP days will be replaced - that's all you had to do - the rest is just thoughtfulness from you guys.

Well one person posted that he runs store-bought max xp pots continuously, but he is the only person I have heard of that does that (not saying others dopn't however).

This is conceivably true but I am skeptical. Examine his character in-game and see if they are running "Sovereign I" or "Sovereign II" experience elixirs. If they are "Sovereign I", then there's approximately zero chance they are store bought, as the "Sovereign II" are much more cost effective to run continuously than "Sovereign I".

Having grown up in Monte-Carlo, I've learned not to be jealous of those with more cash than I have -- I do find them to be entertaining though with their odd antics.

Cordovan made a post about this on Friday. paraphrasing what he said is: the priority was getting people's vip problems fixed(those that expired or renewed while servers were down had issues). And now that that's taken care of we will see the gifts soon.

He did also say that in order to activate the coupon to put it in the store, and to send out the DDO Points, they need to take the servers down (no more then the standard maintenance that is normally done weekly I believe) and I am sure they have been hesitant to do so, as it will most likely have some go "THE SERVERS ARE DOWN AGAIN?! AFTER LAST TIME!" not realizing that yes, the servers need to go down weekly to do things like minor bug fixes (pretty sure they are STILL fixing a ladder a week at this point) and to switch the sales in the store, etc.

They have to patch the game this week or next week amyways. Can't sell Sharn until the preorder Sharn items are added to the game. If I were them I'd just pile it in with that patch.


The people who were expecting immediate rewards were just asking a bit much. I mean some devs probably just worked a 100 hour week just to get the game back online. They needed time to create and implement our rewards, not to mention there is a lot of last minute Sharn changes to cram in...which probably also got delayed by the outage.


Now that everything has been up and running smoothly for a bit I'm guessing they really are about ready to drop it all on us. Gonna be an exciting week or two between rewards and Shark preorders.

I work closely with IT at my company so I know the mad scramble and long hours during and following a major crash. I appreciate the effort to get us back to gaming. I also appreciate some pretty nice gifts to go with the apology. I don't care in the least when the items arrive, please take your time. It's the thought that counts, my grandmother often said.

I am waiting patiently and my only suggestion to cordovan and the devs is - make sure that u are doing it right. this is a really nice gesture that you are doing and getting u lots and lots of good will. thank you!

In a way, I'm kinda glad you screwed the servers up for half a week and on a weekend no less. At least now we get a decent anniversary gift.

In my opinion, a cloak a week was probably the worst anniversary gift ever not to mention a huge inventory space killer! I guess now I know what my wife must feel like when I get her junk on our anniversary. 1 maybe 2 cloaks is more than enough and hardly compares to some of the last anniversary gifts.

Not to be an ingrate, but enough with the cloak giveaways already. It gives no one any incentive to try and loot or build a better looking one and takes up space.

You dont have to redeem them all. If one or two is more than enough for you then stop with one or two.

im not really a fan of the cloak colors. I wished they had more variety. Alot of them are the same color. I'm not really too keen on the house design either but its cool, but its not very visible. I would have preferred different cool colors.
