High Lords will host Defiler of the Just teaching raid on Saturday, March 9

Our last teaching raid heroic and legendary Hound of Xoriat saw a very nice turnout with 6 attendees who were new to or still learning the raid. You can read about it and watch the live stream here.

Next in our series will be Defiler of the Just this Saturday, March 9 at 9pm EST.

If you're interested in running with and getting to know the High Lords of Malkier and you're new to raiding, our teaching raids are a great place to start.

All events in this series are for players new(er) to raiding or players who are looking to learn raids better. First timers welcome! Please have sound and be willing and able to follow instructions.

The goal is to welcome newer players into the raiding scene, to teach people how raids work, to get players more comfortable with raids, and to enhance the Sarlona community. There is no level cap for any of our teaching raids but you need to be at least level 20 to enter epic content.

If you are new to DOJ, you will need to flag by running 3 quests in Amrath: Archons' Trial, Demon Assault and Devil's Details. You will need to have access to the Trials of the Archons adventure pack. You can run the flagging quests on heroic or epic and flag just the same, but you will need to be at least level 20 to enter the epic raid (there is not a heroic version of this raid).

Space is limited so reserve your spot ahead of time! If you would like to reserve a space in this Saturday's event, please contact me in game on Gingerspyce or preferrably Voodu, who I've been playing most lately.

This event will be live streamed on my twitch channel twitch.tv/vooduspyce so even if you're not on Sarlona, you can watch, learn and ask questions live.

Just wanted to confirm that tonight's DOJ teaching raid is still on for tonight! Only a couple signups so far, presumably because the servers were down. Lots of space. I'll be out of game until about an hour before the event, so just send in game mail to Gingerspyce to sign up

Defiler can be a tricky raid to learn with nuanced mechanics like abishair executioner leashing and spawn locations. Timers and multiple failure conditions means there's no time to waste. We had 4 signups, all of whom were first timers, and we just did normal so that we could focus on learning the important mechanics of the raid. It was a flawless run but where applicable, we like to show not only how things are supposed to work, but also what happens when things go wrong. We wanted to show the boss's bombardment so we beat her down to 10% and let her do her thing so everyone could see how hard it hits even on normal.
