    Default Subscription Options?

    Hello all.

    Not sure if this has ever been suggested or posted before.
    Why hasn't Standing Stone adopted a token/bond like system where player A can buy the token for real money, and sell it to player B for in-game currency.
    Obviously, the token's worth in-game and in real life could be adjusted, and a tax system could be added on top of it to help sink plat.
    Thoughts?

    Would certainly breathe some life into this game. I absolutely love this game, but the business model is out of date.

    I for one support this idea , I have a lot of friends that would love to play but they can't afford the 15$ a month for a subscription, I've seen other games have this feature and it's worked out really well.

    We've had dupe glitchers before, if it's an item that could be a problem down the road.

    I have no opposition to something like this, and agree it'd be cool. +1 Signed

    Can already buy a DP code and give it to someone else, as well as gifting sub time to another person's account with a ticket to CS.

    A token that has to pass into game opens the option to be abused.

    For these reasons, it's a /not-signed from me.

    While those are options, having a system in-game would prevent scamming and overall would be an easier process for people who wanted to "sell" membership for items or Plat.
    I do agree an in-game item could be abused but I'm not sure how they'd avoid that.

    Thanks for the response. I do agree duping is an issue that they'd have to look into first to protect themselves. Maybe a unique ID that has to be verified with CS or something? Idk just brainstorming

    Thanks for the support, I'm having the same issue with my friends coming from other MMOs wanting membership but not having to pay $30 every 3 months for the "best" package for them.

    Let's some up the game economy:

    *Most worthwhile equipment is either BtA or BtCoA. The handful of BtoeC and unbound items worth having are either worthless, or vanishingly rare.

    *Platinum - due to lack of plat sinks, the game is so badly flooded with the stuff that its basically worthless. A game-time code would be worth many times the maximum amount of plat a character can even carry. And if you did sell it for plat, what would you buy? Everything is badly inflated.

    *Astral Shards - requires real money to even enter in to the AS economy, and again items worth AS are rare that only an elite few can participate in this economy. Making enough AS to buy game time would require playing the game like a part-time job.

    Exploits have left huge amounts of plat and AS in the system that would need to be removed first. Plus, the game would need to have things to buy and sell. Basically, we need to fix the economy, and just adding a way for dupers to play for free is not going to help with that.
