this is a MMO. this is the internet. this is global. a world chat is needed.
moreover, the new players communicate in korthos via general, and when in Harbor they go on using general. and no one is answering cause general is useless because it is localized, no one's reading it. they probably think no one is online. or they think we are bad people not aswering questions. this is one of the many issues the devs should resolve to retain new players, IMHO a "general chat" that's not general at all it's not really so 2019.
please don't tell me that some /advice channel exist cause it's not working for new players, it's no use since 1- no real tutorial 2-not fluid, not intuitive. there's a chat mislabeled "general" after all.

storage solution suggestion: Collection
omni-cosmetic system suggestion: Arbiter d'Phiarlan, the Weaver of Guises
Yes.
It's always a bother when you forget you're chatting with someone and move away and need to reenter the previous map and then notice you missed the reply while you were in a different map.
In that aspect, we would also need the Advise chat to be server-global. Possiblt Trade too.
And people who don't want to deal with the noob questions can still take refuge on the local chats (Market, Jorasco, etc).

I think the voting says what it needs to say already.
23-to-8, with 10 abstaining. There's your result.
Anything beyond this runs the risk of fake/padded votes from alt accounts & such.
With the advent of Discord, along with Ventrillo & Team Speak (and a few others) we already have global chat, for those willing to participate.
I signed no. Too many other things we need before that. Like a UI overhaul
My position doesn't change. We have need for many other things before that happens, OR it's part of those upgrades.
I am not against it, but posting a poll to try and validate a suggestion isn't what polls are really designed for. It's too vague of a concept, not enough specifics involved, and not enough choices.
Defending your PoV when someone like me rebuts it doesn't help explain the way it should be done or the added benefits.
I usually count the, "I don't care" votes, alongside the votes against the idea. Which in this case, the poll has done something unexpected. There was a time when the side that was against this idea was winning. However, the side thats for this idea has taken over again. It has had more of a back and forth than I could have imagined, honestly It is kind of sad. This means that most veterans don't care about newer players.

I'm not the one to usually comment on threads unless there is something that is needed to be said.
But, please keep the chats the same but introduce a new channel called the Global Channel that you turn on/off at your free will and automatically have a window for new players. That way when I am in a quest in House Jorasco, I could at least answer a new question from someone who is in the marketplace instance.
EDIT 1: Abstaining.
You are the reason people add 'how-to' guides on Dungeons and Dragons Online.
Been a while since I gave it a good ol bump.
