You can put these people on ignore, and use these channels to help out the newer players though, or even use trade chat more efficiently. It might be a pain to deal with idiots, but at least the game will feel more alive right?
Nonetheless, I appreciate your opinion, and appreciate any votes that I get.

This.
What do you mean? Chats around the world? Communication between all servers?
There is the DDO Discord server for general communications. Devs are in there regularly too!
Start cross server trading and profit!Characters: Grandern Marn / Yazmirr Grezztl / Vexir Bristleblade / Zappinaizah Subatrumpf Server: Orien Guild: Faca na CaveiraNew to the Orien server? Type "/joinchannel Titan" into the chat window and join some lively DDO discussion! Happy to help out with any questions.
I'll have to disagree with that sentiment - the whole purpose of globalizing the chats would be so /Trade could reach the whole population, and /Advice really NEEDS to reach more people. Someone asking for game help in the Harbor currently only reaches the Harbor where there are likely fewer folks able to answer questions, whereas the more experienced players will be out in the extended areas.
If you simply add a separate channel that reaches globally, then everyone would just post everything thru that one channel.

No, due to:
Gold spammers,
Fragille egos fighting in chat,
No interest in that noob that keeps spamming all the channels to sell useless items (and when that fails, tries to argue why we should give him a 100k plat for 10 kobolt prayer beeds),
No interest in "where is arlos" jokes across the server.
The devs drove a wedge between vets and noobs/newbies, we need propper solutions, not band aids.
The grindy nature of past lives and reaper trees seperated the playerbase, drove people away and killed alts, wich had a severe impact on the newer player ho needed mentoring (since the game does such a bad job at explaining the meta).
That problem lies squire at the feet of the devs, a band aid and diverting the problem into the lap of the players is not a good sollution.
Make a channel for newer players and have all new accounts get drafted automatically into it, have the devs and willing players advertise on the forum ( a new hint in game?)
Then vets can deceide to join to help and leave if need be by their own chooice.
I like this idea, in fact there are other games that utilize titles for people that want to help others. That way newer players know who to go towards to ask questions. It used to be back in the day, if someone was a TR, then they knew what they were doing. So, if someone wanted to ask a question, they would ask a TR. But now, everyone is a TR basically.
I personally don't like that people don't want global chats simply because they don't want to see things that they deem ********. Honestly, thats global chats in any games, there will be messages that you simply wont like, and that is why there are ignore features in games. *Shrugs*, help those you can, ignore those you cant.
*Side Note* I am surprised how many people seem to be opposed to this idea. I thought I figured that veterans would want the ability to more easily help those that are trying to get into the game *shrugs*

I love helping people in game, however, i know that many simply don't and will willingly spread misinformation or troll newbies, a channel that people need to join will add a small barier.
I personally prefer vollentairy mentorships over throwing people in the deep end of a manditory world channel.
Some people love to see the world burn
We like to help people, not drive them off.
Yes, the good outweighs the bad imo. In addition, as you can have multiple windows open, you don't have to have the window with the chat going all the time, switch it to party.
Or give an additional toggle to allow people to turn it off if they want to be anti-social.
