Im being pushed off my beloved home server.... im actually seriously thinking about moving servers.... I dont wanna leave :'( Nothings being done to stop it... I just wanna play on my Known server for 10 years... Please help! Ive sent in tickets, all i get is "We will look into this... blah blah blah. Ticket Closed." Im wanting to cry honestly... Its a rare occurrence that i do. people from other servers have moved over to mine just to steal my long term friends ive met and hung out with... I would ball my eyes out, but im a tough cookie.

Honestly, it sucks, but don't expect them to do anything. I had a bunch of friends leave after getting constantly harassed, and it was always "file a report! Just ignore them!" but there were never any repercussions. It's too easy to make an alt to bug somebody with.

Changing servers is probably the best bet, and that's really sad to say.

Take away their joy--don't let them see how miserable they make you--and the ones I've met tend to find other targets. Don't complain to them or in the chat channels about the pumpkin heads. Don't pretend like you enjoy the pumpkin heads. Don't give them any response. For some bullies, that is the best vengeance--infuriate them by pretending not to care.

Also choose wisely if you switch servers. Some are extra special in that dept.

You are right - no complaining means not just in-game, but anywhere. They'd still harass him for a while because of these posts, but give it some time, and the bullies, if they are like the ones I've dealt with, will find other targets. Also, like Cordovan noted, don't have anything in your bio that would egg them on. Don't complain to "friends" in-game. Just move along.

Log in even more hours in the game, making yourself visible to them, going about playing. Each time they hit you with a pumpkin head and you act like nothing happened, you get back at them, just a little bit. Over time it adds up, and the one who perseveres wins. You now know what to do. Go on, get the last laugh.

Doesn't matter if they do it because they are depressed, repressed, or just like to play while performing handstands.

Ignore them.

Silence is one of the most powerful tools for certain situations...

The SSG team has been known for very weak solutions to problems like yours EXCEPT when it is in game proof of text chat. I honestly want to apologize for their heinous acts against you. It has happened to me before it-surely rather is annoying. Nothing can be done to stop it, and the team honestly is just trying to make money and don't care for new customers or old customers. Just trying to get money from people until the game is purely dead.

You're getting hit with pumpkin or skull head potions, you're wearing a cosmetic hat, you're cycling through the cosmetic settings, and the potion heads are still visible?

Honestly mate you need to toughen up. Whether or not what they're doing is wrong, or if it's harassment/bullying it's not an easy thing for the devs to police.

It's a video game, if you're getting this upset over something small like that then you're going to have an awful time in life.

These people probably like your reactions, it's funny to them. It gives them incentive to continue, send them a tell, then right click their name and click squelch, this way they can't talk to you and you can't talk to them. That'll automatically reduce their fun and incentive, also people have said you need to edit your Bio, perhaps there is something weird in that.

Next go to the social panel, click who and then check the box that makes you anonymous. Now they can't search you, they have no way at all to find you. Problem solved.

Honestly SSG is less than 100 people, I personally would rather they spend time fixing other issues and responding to tickets about bugged out quests.

How can they know where you're going to be? This whole thing doesn't make sense. It's far cheaper to buy a name change and change your name, then they have no way to track you what so ever, this is a problem you can fix by yourself.

I think the OP, was mentioning something about not getting hit by Pumpkins in General Chat a few days ago on one of his alternate Characters. I can work out who the OP is though that's nothing to do with Pumpkins or this thread, etc.

I know one person that sometimes "playfully" throws them at me in the Harbour around Night Revels and other times. Though of course, they don't function with me having Cosmetic head wear items. Even if the Grenade effects did work it wouldn't bother me. It's not to annoy me either; it's actually out of respect. :-)

However, that person as far as I know for some reason I'm unaware of doesn't get along with the OP. Although it sounds like several people are purposely reading the OPs Character Biography. Then figuring out he dislikes certain things, or people, and then targeting him. It unlikely the OP would drastically change his Character's name (brand name).

I have never had any issues with either the OP or the person that sometimes throws grenades' at me, when they've been within PUG groups I've been in. In fact I've found them both very pleasant to group with and quite sociable.

I'd do this.

Start a diff style of character, quietly retire the other for a while. Let them stew over your absence.

And make sure you have "friended" the offender on your new alt, so you can monitor when he comes online. That will help you know when you can log on safely w/ your other alt once you've let things cool down.

I am having difficulty seeing how this can't be easily handled by you OP? The very vast majority of my in game time is spent in a private instance that I have full control over. I can choose to join a group or not, choose to run solo, sit on my guild ship browsing the AH. The solution is in your hands, ignore and avoid them and certainly do not feed them ANY attention. Its really that simple.

This is a tough situation (going off only what is being posted by the OP)

It seems you have used the Harassment option in game (right click on name in chat choose harassment option)
It seems you have used the cosmetic hat option

Unfortunately in an online game where people are anonymous the direct confrontation approach has a low success rate because that is usually the goal of getting attention - even negative attention. It is tedious and can go against your grain, but the best approach is to simply ignore it in that you don't engage that person.

Now there are other options then switching servers.

1. Take some time to play an alternate character. Don't name them similar to the one that is getting this unwanted attention.
2. Rename your current character - I know it is tough to give up that perfect name (you can create an alt with that name to hold it for you)
3. Take some time playing by rolling up a new character in different servers and check them out.

I saw this post when I was checking the latest posts after the server merge. I do not know if this is a joke post about moving chararacters between servers. If it is serious. Here is the humble response from a random player.



An adult turns around and stares at the children who mess around and simply laughs at them. The adult has its spare time to play the game and relax. In real life the player allready has work or school or family issues to be taken care of.


I believe you are the adult here and you should simply find children and their games amusing. They seem to have no real life responsibilities ; but lots of time to be naughty and run around. When some one is angry it makes the naughty children even naughtier.



As an adult with responsibilites and few spare time from real life; you shall simply enjoy your break time here and play and chat with other adults.
