Default Crafting unbound feather fall and underwater action items.

    Its Jan 2018.

I am trying to craft for my wife and I's new characters a few rings. The rings were not bound to character or account when I created blanks from them using the item deconstruction craft table.

I then created unbound shards for underwater action, and for feather fall.

I have created minimum level 5 unbound shards for the rings.

I applied the min lvl 5 shard to the ring in the unbound crafting station.

When I go to apply the feather fall or underwater action shards the description says that the ring will be binds on acquire.

What a I doing wrong? Or how do I create items that are binds on equip so that I can actually trade these things?

I have only blown through ingredients and shards for 6 different attempts at this point

    Thanks in advance!!

Haven't messed with unbound crafting yet so I can't say what your doing wrong but you could just give the item and shards to her.

She doesn't need any crafting levels to put shards onto an item.

If all shards are unbound, the resulting item should be too.
Do make sure all the shards aren't bound to character.
If they're not, but you want to be EXTRA sure that the item doesn't bind by mistake, follow the steps above

Since you got a warning, this seems intentional, but I've never noticed it documented anywhere in any of the crafting planners or on the wiki. Given all the lootgen I've seen drop with those properties, it's odd they would design it that way. At least you got a warning - and you noticed it. The shards are unbound, so at least they can be passed on as shards and applied to the item by the recipient.

I've seen this reported before, and several people in that thread attest to having this problem with non-scaling shards of feather fall, underwater action and deathblock. No one in that thread reported attempting other non-scaling shards so it's not clear if this applies to all non-scaling shards or just those.

Have you added all the shards to the rings, or stopped on that warning and not finished?

Because the unbound items I have crafted have stayed unbound, I have used them on several characters on both my accounts.

I would try finishing one ring and see what happened.

you should be able to create the different items blank ring and shards and mail them to her so she can build the item with the parts.
unbound is more expensive in materials but should be able to send them to her.

I believe you acquire the item once you create it and take possession of it .

If your on the same account you can pass the item parts through the shared bank.
I think most of my items (unbound) are BTA.
