It is Any new character you make, from now until the end of time and space itself (although DDO will still be running then), will start with those BTA Cosmetics. If you've previously binned them and want another copy, you are more than welcome to make a new character to access them again

Falconry is unlocked on a per character basis through favor that persists across reincarnation for that character once unlocked.

You say it is per character and Coco agrees but then says it works just like Vistani. I rolled up a veteran with 0 favor and it has Vistani unlocked which implies it is account wide.

It's probably a server wide reward, like Drow.

say you picked up first tier house p so you char can get use jump buff in your early life but never picked up second tier because trinket is useless if you have ship buff, when you do pick up second tier you don't get hps you get first tier instead so if you picked up any tier expect to start at first tier no matter what.

Keepers of the Feather reward for 240?

Yes MistaMagic I was wondering about that myself, I have a couple of toons with 240 feathers Favor, I really don't want to try turning it in just to find out if it has been missed out and there is not reward, only then to see a patch in a couple of weeks adding it. but then again could it just be something that was forgotten when writing the patch notes????

Also I do hope that we wont find ourselves losing these new benefits on death or EtR as with the Blessing of the Feather when it first came out.


Also I wonder why there is no House Phiarlan: Rank 2 reward on top of the Phiarlan's Pendant of Time, in keeping with the Statement "New Favor rewards have been added where favor rewards had not existed previously, or where a one-time-use item is granted."??? (which I have tested and all I got was another lousy Pendant to drag out of my invent and send into the ether)

Hi, all your characters should be fine. Please just log them in and out again, and they should be ready to reincarnate.

We discovered that, through a series of events, if a character was not logged out cleanly, perhaps due to a server crash, then they would be missing certain information needed for reincarnation. That missing information caused a crash during the reincarnation process during charcter generation which led to the character being saved without their items. Hence, item loss. We have included fixes for many of those problems in this patch, one of those is that the character is not permitted to even start reincarnation unless they have a new flag that indicates that they logged out cleanly and have all the reincarnation information. This flag is new, so any characters that have not been logged in since the patch will not have it. Once the character is logged in and out cleanly, everything should be good to go.

So you turn in the tokens, flag yourself for reincarnation, and just keep playing for a few months more? On multiple alts?

This is the kind of edge case that drives programmers nuts.

Two of my characters have been waiting to undergo their ER since the level cap from 28 to 30 was announced.

Ha! Fooled you SSG/Turbine! Although they've been level 30 for years, they COULD have ER'd for 2 million xp cheaper! HA!

I'm in the habit of quitting the client between character swaps, as I've found it gets laggy if I do multiple chars in the same process. Do you recommend that when reincarnating, to "logout" and then "quit" from the character select screen, instead of just hitting escape and choosing "quit"?

That shouldn't matter. The logout code on the server should run no matter if you log your character out gracefully, quit the client or get disconnected. But if you end up with a greyed out reincarnate button, it wouldn't hurt to try it the long way around as you described.

Just a quick question here, from the wording used in the notes "In this update, the following Favor grants new benefits:" it could be concluded that in future uodates (hopefully not too far into the future) there would be more new benefits added to the favor rewards, and if that is the case should players consider holding off on collecting older rewards of little value, which have not been added to as yet?
For Example, if I am not going to TR for a while is it worth waiting to collect the Rank 3 Harper reward as I have no use for that tree in the present build?


Oh and it seems that the following might be incorrect:
Purple Dragon Knight
Rank 2: "Purple Dragon Knights: Hit Point Bonus" "This feat grants you +5 HP."
Rank 4: "Purple Dragon Knights: Save Bonus" "This feat grants you +2 saves versus Evil Creatures."

as I have collected this on two Chars so far, the first I just hit the dialog until the favor bar was no longer full, leaving 560 PDK Favor, but on the second I saw that the feat grants you +2 saves versus Evil Creatures is in fact rewarded at Rank 3 and Rank 4 is still without a reward, I am guessing that this is a error and it wrong rank was reward the feat grants you +2 saves versus Evil Creatures, but I'm just guessing here.

Also on the same point as above I have Char who collected the 3rd rank of PDK sometime back, now if the reward for Rank 4 is being given at Rank 3, is that something you will change soon, so I can wait and grab the extra feat?

Yeah, that could be really unfortunate if the "saving thing" happens when you first register for TR. GL w/ that.

Just a note:

Keepers of the Feather didn't get any changes.
Rank 1 "Blessing of the Feather" is still categorized as a "< Special Feat >" and not a "Favor feat". Rank 3, Vistani Enhancement Tree I think counts as a 1 time item and nothing to reacquire each life; and Rank 4 is just a thank you note.

If Vistani Tree is given the 1 time item approach, are Harpers and Free Agents also going to get the same treatment?

Are there plans to hit these patrons as well?
