    Default Pet Collars

Is there any work being done to fix pet collars? I'm seeing no effects from weapon procs at all, and only sometimes see the alignment effect from the alignment portion. I know most augments don't work but what about the rest?

Also doesn’t work. Super ishtty way to loose a tier 3 shard. And I’m pretty sure a slotted Ruby of the Endless Night does nothing in any collar, as I haven’t heard it “woo-woo” in ~seven years of playing a Druid.

I know cannith crafted collars currently don't work, possibly any crafted collars. I'm pretty sure collars recently converted from handwraps do nothing. I don't know if collars converted from handwraps years ago still work or are also broken. Are random generated collars broken? What about the couple of named collars? I guess what I'm asking is are ALL collars broken or just crafted/converted collars?

Pets are slated for a systemic overhaul in the future (presumably sometime after Sharn), so I would surmise anything related to the pet system is on hold pending that project breaking ground. Buggy collars, AT and PM updates, better itemization, etc.

Honestly, right now, even if you put in the effort to fix collars, its lipstick on a pig...pets aren't going to do a whole lot and are going to die really fast in any content tough enough where you need that little extra boost. You spend more time managing and healing them than they save you by being free extra DPS or a debuff applier. They're only really handy for lever pulling and plate pressuring right now (and it is super handy in Death House, to be fair) - but I expect they'll finally have a more modern role once they get their pass.

my pet pulls levers then goes back into the box... at low levels for breaking boxes, otherwise I rarely use it

My pet wolf hardly ever sees the world outside of her kennel as all she is is a glorified lever puller; even without the death penalties, she is just a liability.

Well that's just... I can't think of anything polite to say. That's actually worse than broken guards left in random gen and crafting for more than two years with zero effort to fix or remove, because unlike guards the pets are a fundamental part of two classes. *shakes head*

Its a catch22 people don't use the pets because they're not survivable and without being able to properly equip them with collars their damage is pathetic so people say to only use them to pull levers so then the impetus to fix them is a low priority. I was equipping my wolf with named collars assuming they were doing something. I guess I was just getting an aesthetic visual effect. Do the armors on pets work or are they broken too?
