Had the same hotbar issue yesterday, did not think much of it until now.
Sounds like a sneak rollback has taken place?

Unsure.

I know in my case no family member logged in. So those icons going from the hotbar was definitely weird. But unsure how a rollback could have affected it, because the icons on the main toon have been setup in that fashion for more than 9 months now. So if there was a rollback, it would have rolled VERY far back.

It's all sorts of weird when thinking about it.

Possible, though unlikely. At least not intentionally. To my knowledge, they have only done a handful of rollbacks ever, and I don't believe they've done them since the store was implemented though I may be wrong.

J1NG mentioned he was clicking when the pop-up came up. It's possible his mouse dragged stuff off the bar - happens to be when the game stutters. Some people lock their hotbars so this doesn't happen.

It's also possible that someone else logged into his acct. He mentioned a lack of alarm as he thought it was family, so other people know his credentials. It's possible someone else logged in and messed with the bars.

The other reports say nothing was amiss. If these were malicious attacks, something worse than hotbars would be awry. It's probably just the servers' death throes. God knows there's been enough lag recently. Probably a large piece of the TR glitches as well.

Now you mention it, I wouldn't be surprised if the mouse during the sudden pop-up did something prior to shutting it down. But the weird thing was, the icons were not all in the same area. Literally separated by so much distance between each, it would be really difficult to see how that could have happened as it wasn't all bunched up together icons.

Also, as you have suggested (a good suggestion), locking the bars down now on the main. As there's no reason to move anything until new gear gets released, is farmed and replaces existing gear anyway.

But I'll still keep an open eye on anything DDO related. Just weirds you out when you think about how odd it transpired.

Possible, though unlikely.

With SSG, you never know. Because they won't tell you. I would hope given their less-than-stellar-track-record that they'd give us a heads up on something of this magnitude. "Hey guys, you may experience some oddities while we run some tests internally. Please let us know if you have any negative effects from these tests." Of course, that would require communicating. And it opens the door to "bad actors", a real fear here on DDO.

Thinking back again a bit more. The one thing consistent with other reports is the sudden client shutdown in between.
Tho this time done manually by me as I was hanging on a loading screen while Finishing Out from a finished quest.

This happened to me yesterday (~noon EST). I was checking inventory and suddenly got the message and booted. Logged back and it happened again in about 10 minutes. Then once again though I was on a different server.

After that I changed my password. It hasn't happened since the password change.

I have been playing DDO for about 10 years, and this is a first time experience for me. I was in the middle of a quest when I got DC'd with the message "You are being logged out because you have logged in to server Argonnessen". I was on G-Land at the time this happened.

I then logged onto my Cannith toon and right after I loaded in a messaged flashed on my screen something like "in game voice recorder starting". I've never seen this message before and I wasn't running any of my recording programs or live streaming. I was a little freaked out and changed my password.

Probably one of those times you were silently cursing that the recording wasn't running.

This has happened to me 3 times in the past week but only on my main account.

On my main account I do log into all the other servers daily for the dice rolls. For anyone this has happened to, are you also logging into the other servers regularly?

I know at least 2 other people in my guild this has happened to and one also logs onto other servers for the daily dice roll. The other has a toon they play on a different server then their main server.


This has never happened on my second account, which only ever logs into one server.

I dont believe it is any sort of hacking, but a bug in the programming related to which server your account is logged into

Seems very odd. We have had some strange things afoot on our accounts, but they appear to be obvious glitchy, server things. A character ghost, that was NOT logged in, standing in front of me, still showing in my group, but not showing as active in the group, then looking at the who panel they logged out 18 minutes ago...then suddenly they are gone.

Strange things are afoot at the Circle K.

Yep, for me it's the two accounts that we roll dice on. And disconnects happen to BOTH of us at the same time when questing. It just happened now, while I ran dice rolls and then sat on the ship. I will try and log in and actually hit the quit button on all servers just in case that helps. But the fact that it's both accounts being booted at same time points to something else, but who knows. (On Sarlona, mains). It is also mostly (only?) happening on servers that do not correctly boot me out when I log onto a new servers - Cannith, Argo, Ghallanda for me usually these days.

Also as to why this thread isn't getting attention - it has a pretty terrible title.

Edit: Just did normal /quits on all servers I was logged onto and relogged them all, and it STILL happened just now. It's happening to me every 10-15min :/
