You find yourself lost in the woods with no clear way out, what do you do?

Find water. Cast Water Breathing. Burn down the woods. Stay under water in the lake or river, safe, breathing, till the fires are out. Walk in a straight line home.

(Off Topic: Sad the game doesn't allow evil alignments)

So many good adventurers, I mean adventures, end in the the woods. I'd defeat defeat a halfling named Lucy Lawful and end the illusion.

Make a fire and sing camp fire songs to attract some tasty mobs... and per chance some helpful adventurers.

    I roll a survival check

    *Rolls 11*

I find some mushrooms. I roll a medicine check to see if I think they're edible.

    *Rolls 2*

I eagerly eat the mushrooms. I now roll a CON save.

    *Rolls 19*

I survive with only mild vomiting.

*Rolls 17 on wild encounter table*

A Hungry troll heard me retching, and swings its club at me. It rolls to attack, with advantage.

    *Rolls 17 and 5*

It hits me square in the head. I fall unconcious, and am taken back to the troll's lair. When I awake, I am tied up. I see a pot of water boiling, but the troll is nowhere in sight. I make a DEX check to untie myself.

    Rolls 18*

I get myself free! I leave the cave. I make a survival roll.

    * Rolls 14*

I find a stream with Fish! I roll Dex to catch a fish.

    *Rolls a 4*

I fall into the stream. I make a Swim check to get out.

    *Rolls a 15*

I escape. I am now cold, wet, and hungry.

    * Rolls a 10 on encounter table - nothing happens*

I try again to catch a fish.

    *Rolls 11*

I catch a fish! The fish starts talking to me: "Please sir, set me free, and I shall grant use my fish magic to send you home".

    I make an insight check

    *Rolls 17*

I believe the fish is telling the truth and comply. I blink, and then I find myself back home.
That's not lag, it's just DDO trying to become turn-based again.
Feature wishlist: colour-coded HP bars; red/blue teams in raids; rez-timer in party menu

This^, in so many words, is how you say time and feedback on Lamannia are wasted.

I find a water way and follow it downstream, marking my way as I go. That's how they taught me in the Gnome Scouts.

Climb a tree. If I see a way out, great. If not, and I happen to have a solar charger, a laptop, and a good data plan, also great (r, ya know, a phone with reception). If not, less great .
