Default Store price changed on an item I bought points for

During the winter sale, on 12/15/2018, I bought some DDO points with the intent of buying the discounted +8 supreme tome. Unfortunately when I went to buy the tome, the discounted price jumped back to the regular price, as can be seen in the below gif. I recently got a reply to my ticket, stating that the sale was already over at the time, and they gave 200 DDO points for my troubles. I'm sorry but doesn't that seem... off?

    Nice gif!

Yeah, I'm usually the one defending reasonable hiccups in the game, but that does seem a little extreme. The discount was listed on the store, it should translate to the check-out price.

I'd PM CS_Alkaid and call his attention to this page, see if Customer Service doesn't agree that this isn't quite WAI, and maybe you should get the deal they in fact were offering, fair and square.

I recently got a follow-up reply to my response ticket. While I never did get my tome, I did get reimbursed the proper amount of DDO points this time, and I consider the matter resolved.

Glad to hear it. Good thing you did the video though, otherwise I'd be willing to bet they would have closed your ticket w/o comment.

ETA - What video software did you use?
My take on "the grind": https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...=1#post6220972

Ordinary humans have inhibitions that serve as a buffer against what we know is bad behavior.
However, some people, by blaming others for their own bad behavior, develop a thought pattern that allows them to override self-control in order to achieve a selfish end.
    - My opinion on exploiters and cheaters blaming SSG for unfair punishment.
