    Angry Goodbye DDO

    Hello everyone,
I say goodbye DDO and the reason why I leave is always the same bug that compromises the time spent accumulating objects, weapons, luggage and tomes that each of us has.
After a reincarnation lose everything and send the ticket to receive phantom assistance and see that they do not respond and at least do nothing to help, I say that thieves that they are, and what kind of idiots that we are to continue!
what is the utility in being completionist if then from one day to another you can lose everything.
Have fun all Zarag leaves forever.

It's hard not to snark at a post with this kind of parting shot.

I agree that CS issues are hitting people squarely in the tenders right now, but hyperbole like that doesn't help.
It makes some of us reading it just wanna post something like this guy might say...

...but that would be uncouth and even less helpful.

If you want to get help as soon as possible send @CS_Alkaid a PM on the forums, that should expedite things pretty quickly.

I have been waiting for three days, as I have lost all BTC objects (including green steel 3, torch, huge and colossal bags, tokens and raid tokens, and you can not see the 2 racial lives of the gnome). I know there are Christmas parties, but is it possible that there is nobody to answer you?

Sorry to learn of this (an Italian player? Forum name means 'sausage'). I hope you are able to resolve it. TR cache loss must be awful.

We are seeing more of these types of posts. IIRC, the devs installed some form of internal tracking to assist with this. With this game so reliant on TR'ing, I think we are approaching the need for a dev response on this issue, yet again.

And the spotty customer service issue. We need a response.

    Greetings, CS_ObviouslyNotaGM here to help!

We apologize for this unfortunate incident. Please reach out to us via PM and we will be sure to take a look! Our offices are closed for the Holiday season and our contract with our support company only covers up to 6 tickets per day, but rest assured that once we slog through hundreds of tickets from people who encountered a ladder bug and died, we will get to your important issue.

We take losing items via TR very seriously. So seriously in fact that after 7 years of this glitch being around we just got around to putting in logging a year ago so that we could maybe, possibly, one day identify what's happening. We of course did not invest any time into improving the process to make it easier to recover your account, we're too busy putting range restrictions on casters because it's new tech and we're going to hammer it down your throat.

While you wait to be told there's nothing we can do, please feel free to browse the DDO store. You'll be glad to note we spent development time instead on creating a new Otto's box package so that you can pay to not play DDO. Since you're not going to be playing it now, might as well give us money instead that we can spend on linear dungeons with bloated HP mobs with terrible XP rewards and raids that feature doing the same things 10+ times in a row.

Thanks and happy holidays from us here at outsourced_customer_service_company_01.

    Yours,

Probably the most legitimate complaint we see about this game.

It's totally unconscionable that people lose anything during TR in a game that wants you to TR a ton. Worst aspect of this game and I nerd rage when I have FoM and I get slowed by a non-reaper.

This is a serious issue, but you made me spit out my drink because I had the same exact thought. Thank you for the laugh and the reminder there are others just as demented as I am.

As someone who has worked support, let's be honest. Support agents are people too. Holidays are busy times, and it's not really reasonable to expect that CS be available every single day of the year. Yes, there are issues with DDO's support. But demanding a response to an issue on December 26th is a bit unreasonable- tickets are typically worked in the order that they're received, and so holidays, especially major ones that result in a full or partial closure, lead to a massive backlog. Give support (not just DDO support, but all the other technical support services you may use) a Christmas gift and be a little understanding that the holidays can suck for support.

Additional tip- don't demand things or attack support representatives. Except for a few bad apples, most of them want to help, and will do their best to do so. If they have any way to provide compensation, especially around the holidays, they will probably try to do so (unless they have to be asked for something first by corporate policy). Yelling, screaming, and accusing the support agents of not wanting to help will make the agents... not want to help. Politeness goes a long way, and I've seen people bend the rules to make things work in customers' favor because they were nice, or just polite, and it was an edge case. On the other hand, demanding things, threatening legal actions (this one especially- some places tell reps to stop talking to a customer if they mention legal action), or demanding refunds for purchases ranging back five years because of a recent issue (and I understand losing items sucks, but I mean a refund to your card, not replacement items or store points restored, which are typically much easier solutions, though I've never worked for SSG/Turbine so I don't know how their system works, so it might actually be difficult, I just don't know, each company uses their own systems and some databases are nightmares).
I primarily play Zunzyne Siegemaker, and am the guild master of Ares Macrotechnology on Ghallanda.

How the op feels is his own to decide.
How he chooses give feedback is also his own to decide.

I just don't get why this answer is in the customer service scripts, especially for this type of error.
Every time this answer is given it alianates a customer so much.
Its like they get a bonus for not passing a ticket to the right desk.

Losing your stuff is a setback, but not a good reason to quit the game. For my racial TR process, I either fed most items to my gem or trashed them. It was just not worth the time to keep moving them, and most I didn't use.

We had some guildies get bans or have their character stripped of inventory. We just ran a bunch of quests to get important items quickly. It didn't take long.

If you enjoy the game, don't give up. Anything you have now will just be obsolete in the future anyways.

We are sorry to see you go. If you wish, please PM me the ticket number so I can follow up with customer service.
