Maha's View on 1000 Favor Grind

Hi all,

I have not posted on this forum for over 5 years, since it moved to it's new form. What brought me back was now recent sell of +8 Supreme tome of Ability - and since I was missing about 2600 Points I have decided to do each server grind to 1000 Favor. Regarding that there is an older thread from Zander108 My 1,000 favor run on every server..

So lets begin with a small introduction, each server has 1st time milestones that I was banking on.

I already had done runs to 100 back in 2010. So I was only focusing on 500 and 1000 Favor rewards.

• 4-5 Tempys Lorben

I've done 100 favor on all servers myself, but without a VIP friend, it took a non-trivial amount of time.
I'd still say it was worth it, not for me - I'm a frequent point buyer - but for the two others that were following my tracks and got the same favor rewards. Got them a few new shiny quests to try out, and got a partner access to the Slave Lords (and subsequently farmed a caster set) for his first caster life.

For the rest of the runs there are Catacombs that give 66 Favor, as well as Assault chain and Diplomatic immunity chain. Trial by fire and Maze of madness are soloable at that level as well ( I am talking about Elites ).
That is if you do not plan to level and go on Elite / Reaper quests at 14/15.

Or you can continue with rout of Khortos and harbor level 3-4 quests.

If you are duoing this should be done in about 3 hours perhaps a bit more for soloing it takes time up to 5 hours since quests do last and there is a lot of running involved.

If you are planning to level up then the whole logic could be skipped, tho you could still use Coin Lord and House K items since they will benefit you over all. As well for the leveling I am divided between Fiend and Frey since Fined is getting better starting equipment from Morning Lord, tho Frey gets misty escape

time wise - definitely not, Point wise - perhaps ? I am putting this done so that if someone else wants to do it that they have some general idea and list to check.

Oh I did not mentioned that this was done from Sunday to last Wednesday

I got Points yesterday, well yesterday was 1st day that i have bothered to check points, for sure i know that they weren't there on Thursday.

How many hours did this take?

The Wayfinder that was duo-ed took about 3,5 -4 hours. While solo serves took about 4-5,5 hours with causal game play.

How many points per hour is it?

it was 250+50+100 so 400 Points per server - from over 100 /h to about 75/h-
Tho to keep in mind I did made all of the characters and level up back in the days when Thelanis was down. So if you add time to create and level up it takes more, as well I did daily rolls for about 1 year on each server to get some plat going.

Well I had big discussion with my better-half regarding seasons pass and we managed to squeeze that in, tho I did not calculate on taxes, and we have 25% so that was a bit more than the base calculation was done. After that the tome was announced, I was sitting on 1200ish Points and calculated that i could grind on the serves or spend extra 20$+taxes on tight budget. So decision was to play since I had time as well that was on to do list for quite some time.

This seems like a reasonable place to ask this question:

What happens/happened to first time server bonuses on severs that were merged, or with characters that had favor before free to play points came out. Is that server just a no-go for the server bonus points? I have no in game emails regarding ddo points and after running a quest to get 5 additional favor no super secret magical effect happened giving me DDO points.

Did the favor on each server, pugged, piked and soloed all kinds of builds, and could start buying packs. But after a year, (and really enjoying the game) took the plunge and got points. As entertainment, hobby, the time spent farming content became not worth the effort.

As i said run to 100 is worth even soloing since you can net 875 points alone. I did this since I was on a budget and had time to grind it over leaving comments and experience for someone else who might consider doing this. If you have cash buying points is better way. Spending 3,5 hours to duo a sever or 5-6 hours to solo it takes time.

My guess would be the same thing as they happen on the Lamania, if you did not spoke to drow elder in harbor you can unlock Drow, Veteran Status, Favored Soul, Veteran Status 2 with 3200 Favor. If you get over certain numbers you will get bonuses, no retroactive TP is granted. Lets say that you are at 3999 Favor and do a Solo quest that you have not done yet. You will get 25 Points for regular 100 completion and extra 100 Points for the milestone of first time achieving 4000 on that server. The sub-sequential milestones for 25,50,100,500,1000,2000,3000 favor should not be triggered.

This is at least my last experience with Lamania ( 2011 ) testings for Update 11.

My thoughts as well regarding old server favor. Thanks for sharing your experiences, regardless of opinions as to their worth!
