Apology accepted, just try to be more careful quoting people in the future.

I've accepted SilentRunning's apology. No need to muck it up more. As far as SSG goes, I think some further transparency is in order as far as what is being advertised as going into the patch vs what actually made it into the patch. For example if there is some way people can bypass parts of a quest in an exploitive manner, all that needs to be said "Quest XYZ: Corrected an issue which allowed the quest to be completed in an unanticipated manner." The Prowess nerf could have been announced up front with a reason why instead of just being dropped on us during patch day. Finally, not allowing raid runes to be tradeable for threads is a big mistake. It was promised so it should have stayed in the patch notes. Or if it was excluded for time it should have been stated that it would be included in a future release.

SSG has all the power in the world to never hear me criticize them again over their constant failures to publish correct release notes. All they have to do is get their act together and start publishing accurate release notes.

The irony here is that you keep making the same mistake: complaining about me complaining. You have no control over me or what I post. Give your white knighting a rest, it's not going to change anything at all and you're just ****ing into the wind.

As this is my last response to you before putting a QQer on ignore, I'm learning from my mistake and won't respond to your whining anymore after this, see i'm already better than you.

At least the level 4 bard hireling Lairon Hester seems to be quite thoroughly bugged. There are no always-on songs (not shown on the info screen, but may not stack with either old-style or new-style guild buffs?) and telling him to sing for buffs causes him to become completely unresponsive - stops walking, doesn't come when called, doesn't fight back when hit...

Tried with another character who had level 3 Brigita Hammersong started and no guild buffs at all; did see the constant Inspire Courage in the buffs display but telling her to sing it anyway caused her to similarly become completely unresponsive. Just stand there... well, fortunately they didn't do the "stuck in party" thing though.

The old buff song button has changed name to "Bardic ballad", which is quite natural. So since it's changed from active to passive despite being on the hireling action bar, it causes the hireling AI to hang or something?

Fascinate does seem to work as normal.

The level 15 bard hire... what's his name... looks like thinking about singing every couple of minutes, and stops there for some more minutes but eventually gets around to catching up. Does give two items of the ballad (only), has old-style Ironskin Chant on the action bar, that even causes the singing animation but no effect. No DR on my character at all, at any point in this, so not a problem with stacking.

Will test more but, well, since the big enhancement system revamp hasn't gotten through to bard hirelings yet either...

(On the other hand, my swashbuckler trapper got buffed, since Inspire Competence now works on self and apparently stacks...)

Anyone else have reports on this?
Whew! Thanks for the detailed information.

Bard Hirelings of all levels should no longer give up their will to live entirely when they try to play Inspire Courage, and are generally back to how they were before the changes. This should all be live in an upcoming patch!
