Reconstruct gets full spell power (unlike heal which gets 1/2) since at the time there were no sources of repair amp. There are now ample sources of amp. If you build for it you can heal fine. My BF selfheals in R1 for 500+ without building much for it other than some spellpower and taking repair amp instead of healer's friend. If I crafted a repair amp item and got some insightful spellpower it would be better.
It's fine for low skull, but you can't ignore spellpower.
Just to clarify.
The debuff of reaper difficulties still applies to Positive, Negative (for healing) and Repair abilities.
However, unlike the spell power being applied at 50% the Repair gets the 100% spell power.
This is why Repair/Reconstruct will be better as self-healing options.
No, this is not good enough.
Devs need to unnerf self-healing options for Robots and PMs by 50%.
So, Repair and NEB should be 30% on R1 to 48% on R10. This is the only way I will agree to party with them ever again.
As of right now, I will continue to decline them for higher skulls. I'd rather have a fleshie Sorc with slightly less DCs and any other race than toasters (unless they are in wolf form ofc). I'm not even talking about from their perspective, I'm talking about from the perspective of party members who can't even throw a heal at them. They just die. Over and over and over and over. Nothing about that sounds reasonable or fun. Sigh.

Its worth mentioning - WF racial enh gives you 40 Rep Amp or -30% racial Positive penalty. I think the latter is always, always the better option.
If you have other sources of Repair Amp (including the new EPLs when they hit), then another +40 is not too tremendous a bonus. However, -30% penalty takes you from 50% effect to 80% effect. This is a different channel entirely than Heal Amp, it multiplies with everything else. So if nothing else, your Cocoon immediately starts doing 60% more healing, and if you ever party or use a heal hire, you're not suffering on Positive healing nearly as badly.
The only reason I'd spec into Rep Amp is if you're never ever going to see Positive heals...so pure solo, no heal hires, no Cocoon.
