The easiest example to trigger is to run it on Elite or R1, go into the end fight room, and run past the dog cages to talk to the boss. The howlers in both cages will agro on you and I think you get a yellow alert for the entire fight until the first cage opens and you are actually allowed to kill those howlers.

Grim and Barrett have a couple of spawns that are close enough that it's trivially easy to agro a 2nd group, generating a green alert. (first fight, fight by the fountain in the human/rashaka area, and fight after the stone door)

Through a Mirror Darkly can generate DAs via mob agro through doors or even between worlds. The darkside fight in the northwest corner of the mansion (with the shadow orb) will cause the lightside room (the one with the shrine) to agro on you, even if you leave the darkside room, go into the hallway, and then use the mirror down the hall. Those mobs agroing will mean that every other encounter will generate an alert unless you go through that door and kill them.
Don't forget that those howlers can also inflict Howler Madness from within their cages just before the fight starts.
I've had newbs I was running with talk to the boss and initiate the fight before two of the members stopped being helpless from that one.
I had to hightail out of there with DDoor grabbing a few soulstones.

To add to the general Dungeon Alert mania, one quest, just ONE, comes to mind, because it generates the alert in almost all the bigger rooms: Reclamation. Hit one dwarf, their whole family pops out of a corner, with their dogs and ancestors to boot.

In Reclamation you jump or fall down the big hole and when you exit the water there is an almost immediate red dungeon alert, followed by half the dungeon appearing in front of you.

Inventory management. Nothing makes me log off without playing faster than logging on only to discover I need to clear a bunch of inventory space before I can play :P

So, just to make sure everyone is clear on this...we wont get in trouble or be put on some special list if one of us keeps pushing the dungeon alert all the way to red, right? The last thing I want to do is get banned because I was zerging through a bunch of dungeons for whatever reason. Or because I was picky about what mobs I want to kill and as soon as I hit dungeon alert orange a wave spawns and im right back up to red.

    Inferno of the Damned

I know it is a special case with different instances and all but I just ran it solo on heroic R1 and I had an instant and practically permanent DA after the 1st portal. The mobs even came and attacked through the walls of fire.
I would suggest to deactivate DA in Inferno heroic and epic.

    Also sending this as pm.
Thank you for looking into this.

    Default Limited Play Options

Biggest fun killer for me personally is having only one style of gaming options to select from for the most part in this game.

    Instead of:
    PVE
    PvP

    Its only PVE

    Instead of:
    Solve the mystery
Pass through the dangerous obstacle course
Race through the sky with a fly spell
Do fantasy stuff that has nothing to do with violence
    Fighting

    It is only:
Fighting and Killing, must kill to make door magically open, sneak is not optional...

if there where all provided, they open up a menu that allows me to have the DDO experience I want, not what some DM is trying to force on me. DnD wasn't all just fighting, calculating numbers, and killing for exp. It had a ROLE playing aspect, and that was the best part of it. Too much number crunching is geeky and boring. Role playing is way more fun. Feeling like this is reality instead of some twisted fantasy version where violence is the only way to exist is a BIG FUN KILLER!!!

You asked, and I give the most direct honest answer I can!
(DDO PVP PVE 24/7 options options come check us out better then ever!!!) = (+) Sales
(DDO PVE only, 10k isn't required, no need to TR 150 times, don't worry) = (-) Scary
Live large, you are awesome, you are here, you are happening! Sincerely, Proton

Ddo is not pnp dungeons and dragons. And has never been so. Furthermore nor a single commuter game can ever come close to replicating true role playing. It just isn't feasible. Even the all time greatest games of the genre (baldurs gate cones you mind) are little more than basic hack and slash adventure within a good story line.

The astonishing lack of basic social skills, and general tendency to words self-centered behaviour, exhibited by 99% of the population. But that’s more of a societal problem I guess.

    Some examples?

    1. Accepts you to the group, completes before you step in
    2. Opens a chest while you are DC
    3. Begins the raid before you enter, locking you out
    4. Never heals or raises in combat, only focuses on their own clicking, instead of the group
    5. Doesn’t tell the group what quest is next
    6. Doesn’t update the LFM
    7. Insists that not intrinsically knowing the answers to 5 & 6 is your problem, and not their own poor communication skills
    8. Ignores the fact that not all people use a headset
    9. Doesn’t bother buffing or waiting for buffs
    10. Fails to recognize that the best path to success is to think of others instead of just themselves

There’s some hilarious irony to this thread. I’ll let you guess what it is…

I misplaced my take on this song, so I redid it from memory. I'm sure others did it far better. Here goes:

Invisible wall. Invisible wall. Does the same as a visible wall.
Blocks my path, every time. Objective seen? Cannot climb.
Look out... Here comes the invisible wall.

All the devs. Listen now. Make me see them. Don't care how.
Make a tree. A pair of rocks. I'd even take some purple blocks.
Hey there! Kill off the invisible wall.

In the chill of the night, when I'm playing my best,
Like a foe straight from Hell, it just ruins my quest.

Invisible wall. Invisible wall. Horrible awful invisible wall.
Standard thing? I don't care. I just want it not there.

To me, life's just way too short for... playing a game that's a chore,
    Because of an invisible wall!

I have done all these things on accident because I'm human and I enjoy posting groups. Unfortunately you have to put up with me being very stupid sometimes. <3
Some people hollar at me for being stupid and then drop group before I can even apologize. People want to be mad about me not catering to their needs. That triggers me

Having to turn stances back on when logging in. I get so angry when I discover for the zillionth time that my eldritch stance was deactivated for me. And there are plenty of others like that.

I also dislike not being able to enter a dungeon when a too-low level guild mate is in the party with me so we can chat. Although that problem has kind of sorted itself out since I have no guildies left

Yes indeed -- and (for the information of others) the ONLY time that, as an experiment, Dungeon Alert has been switched off on a live Server (it was on the old European Codemasters ones), the lag monster that came out of it was horrendous.

Memory Lapse in the room with the ramps up to the boy in the tree. The multiplication tables multiplied and caused red alert before we got very far. I guess that we ran past a couple when we headed up the ramp but it still went to red alert way too fast. The spawns from one room should not get you to Red Alert. If the game can't handle that many mobs don't throw that many at once.

    I like it.

I would go so far as to say that if you think your game engine needs invisible walls you are doing something wrong. (special cases of invisible walls like the maze of Another Man's Treasure is an exception).
