Pure PDK Spellsinger For Cormyr! Max buffs

TRed out of a Spellsinger build early this week and will give you my breakdown. I believe that screenshot has some unrealistic short term effects like Turn the Tide so keep that in mind.

pdk max starting cha is 18. i think you already have counted a "starting" +2 tome and counting it twice in the total

ABOVE is my attempt at outlining the bard goodies I have... Old enough to remember the "Axer Package"? Well this is Mesmerita Buffs! Some very quick testing showed that my aura was at +11 atk +9 dmg +24 usp so my math is off or somethings not working/stacking. I think the only thing that could improve would be T5 WC Chant of Power, but I value the Spellsinger stuff more. If you have any ideas regarding my calc above feel free to write me, thanks!

Seems Aura of Grandeur is self only so removed it from my calc, still have +1 atk/dmg I cant figure out where is from.

With Charisma that high, does the For Cormyr! buff shoot party dps through the roof? As in raid bosses start to melt as soon as you click it? I'm trying to decide on a race for my next bard build and I know I can get a lot more individual DPS out of Scourge, but the whole For Cormyr! thing is pretty tempting now that I'm about done with racials.

Yeah if you time it right it can be pretty amazing. I can 1 round LH HoX and Im working on a speedrun video soon as I can get guildies together I hope youll consider it and let me know how it works if you try

Thx to a helper I think I found out the correct calc for Inspire Courage, but there are still some oddities... I believe 1 of the things dont give universal spell power, so Im attributing that to Soothing Song as it stands out. It could also be one of the Improved Inspire Courage feats. Resetting enhancements I gave +5 atk +5 dmg +12usp. Editing calc...

Found another Regalport artifact but found hotswapping artifacts to be a problem. So I use another regular necklace (DW from WPM) in between swaps, to avoid the popup. I upgraded it with Melonys Melody for the +2 enchant DC, then I can have a bit more dc crowd controling trash on the way to boss and switch to +1 Insp Courage from Splendid Cacophony. I also have solo healed the new raid with only 2 deaths, but my screen recorder failed and showed only desktop in the video 8) Id like to try hard soon, but getting people is a bit difficult... Summertime and some TR etc. Well thats all for now, have fun!

I like my spellsingers evoking, soundbursting, BOGWing.
Also, a "max buffs bard" should probably go deeper in Warchanter.

I took your advise on more warchanter, and I just tried to take BoGW... My investment lies in enchantment, so couldnt quite reach the DCs for evocation. My soundburst shows 94 unbuffed, so Im guessing its the same for wrath. I tried in reaper5 A Sharn Welcome and couldnt get any mobs unless I boosted for DC. I wasnt using Wellspring of Power much (took it bc I have 5pc Ottos), and was hoping that with the change, I would have another way to add CC and helplessness to party. I havent tried fully speccing for evo, as I think my enchant would hurt to much.

Whats the golden number for evocation DC on a Spellsinger?

Problem with Soundburst and BoGW is that they target Fortitude save. Which is obscenely high on many mobs in Sharn (probably to keep instakills in check?).

But the DC to resist BoGW should be higher than Soundburst. For bards, it should be at least 4 more than heightened soundburst (20 vs 10+6) if one can trust the description. (It might be even higher, the description might be wrong.) Also, no SR check.

On R5-R8 Sharn, sorry I can't be specific, I find that a 116DC Frozen Fury often/normally misses vs goblins.

A Dire Charge (~130) always (nearly? hard to tell - I find Dire Charge buggy) hits.

That will be targeting the same saves as an evo SS. Most other mobs this DC seems enough for.

Thanks for your input guys Seems like evo is a bit out of my reach atm, but Ill try to spec for it more, else Ill resort to Enchant like always. This is the first time I took freeze on a Spellsinger and I need to improve on that too. Im at 98 unbuffed outside reaper, but Im starting up on dps reaper tree and with new epic pastlives I can get some more tactics. Hmm Dire Charge, maybe I should try that too. Go Bards!

So Im working on improving my evocation a bit, and doing some feat swaps over the next days. Just took Dire Charge instead of Fount of Life, so Im some HAmp and heal power down. I still have Enchantment Specialist twist but switching to evocation bc I figured that I can debuff will saves a bit for my enchant. Anyway here are some numbers...

Necromancy: 92
Conjuration: 93
Evocation: 97
Enchantment: 101

BoGW: maybe 4 higher than evo? for 101
Frozen Fury: 113
Dire Charge: 123

I fear I cant reach a high enough evocation DC, So might go back to enchant focus. My freeze and Dire Charge could improve with new epic paslives and points in dps tree as I said earlier

* Could also find me a nice shrotsword and use Cormyrian Knight Training to help tactics!

** Bought me a THTH shortsword and replaced my Elyd Edge, wont have sentient at lvl20 but its probably for the better. Also the above numbers are with Piston Boots instead of LGS.

Made the switch to evocation and edited OP to reflect the changes, however I just had an idea to improve further. Im at 105/121 charisma as I get 1 cha from Melonys Melody. I could switch to 4 pc Eye of Beholder instead and the +2 DC would help ALL spells not just Enchant. And Id still be at 120 max charisma for a +55 modifier.

Also in another thread I made a suggestion for a new raid item:

These Gloves look well worn and used, but you feel there are more songs left in them.

• Action Time : When using your last Action Boost this becomes AoE for nearby allies, duration in seconds equal to number of Action Boosts.
• For Cormyr : Gives one additional charge.
• Inspiring Echoes : When a Bard wields this item, Anthem abilities that restore Bard songs over time restore then 40% faster (for example, an ability that restores a Song every 5 minutes would restore one Song per 3 minutes instead).
• Human Beat Box : If you are a Human (or PDK) Bard and you run out of Songs, there is nothing left but to Human Beat Box : The Target(s) of your last Song are granted 1W per Bard lvl1 8 14 and 20, duration in seconds equal to number of Bard Songs.

Probably way to OP and tailored to this build haha!

I cleaned up the OP and added a new video! This time I speak a little about the build before heading into Tethyamar. Now I misspeak a few times but overall Im satisfied and thought I would share 8)

I was on Lamannia and had a look at the new Fatesinger Tree. There are so many goodies here I could easily have spent 40 points In the end I chose this:


Tier1 - First Harmonic Chord +3 Insp Courage, Music of the Spider Queen
Tier2 - Second Harmonic Chord +3 Insp Competence, Bound Fate
Tier3 - Third Harmonic Chord +3 Insp Greatness, Grim Fate
Tier4 - Martial Hymn, Primal Hymn
Tier5 - The Fifth Chord, Enlarge
Tier6 - Turn of the Tide, Embolden

Harmonic Chords are a nice buff to your songs, I left out the 4th mainly because people usually have a capped dodge. Im some charisma down but made some of it back with item/enhancement, I just felt the buffs are so strong that I spared some charisma. No cha hymn like you said in your video? well, no didnt have enough for it, went with the dps hymns! One has 10 mp/rp the other thrown/bow speed which are some cool effects, looking forward to this on live!
