Interesting. Clearly not for soloing reaper and the gear will take some effort to grind for but seems to hold its own. Interesting that the Eldritch imbue does a relatively small amount of the damage overall. A shame that it relies so heavily on pots, they're not something I plan on constantly spending points on.
Yeah, I would like to see an item that halves the cost of Negative energy burst, Wail Of The Banshee, Circle Of Death and Undeath To Death while they are effected by at least two metamagic feats but that does not seem like it would ever happen.
The defensive capabilities need work, however I have a feeling that legendary affirmation and a New armor without a sheltering effect might do the trick there as one of the non-stacking attributes in this build's gear is a sheltering effect and the armor used has physical sheltering on it as does this build's ring. Way too many items waste effect slots on physical sheltering, I think it is safe to say that the end game gear is good for a while in terms of physical sheltering. Though an armor with insightful sheltering and quality sheltering (MRR and PRR) might be a good aim.
Yeah, reaper is unbalanced.... I wish the devs would play some Diablo 3 and experience the greater rifts to understand how reaper should be. Each player could easily have an aura that causes them to buff other players when close by while gaining additional buffs by casting beneficial spells and spell like abilities on other players, meanwhile reaper itself would just have a enemies of insane strength and defenses with their saves being placed to a sweet spot. I'm all for an update where reaper would be rebalanced to not have any bias towards builds of certain flavors and feel that such needs to happen. In Diablo 3, the effectiveness of your self-heals does not decline in greater rifts, though the difficulty does still prove to be great at 90+ greater rift levels, enemies becoming immune to control impairing effects is unheard of and yet the player character deaths still climb nicely. Reaper 10 could be like the greater rifts with the reaper points being like the legendary gem upgrades and with the teamwork motive aspect being based on player auras and buffs that come from assisting players with your buffs.
Thanks for making a video.
So I don't have to ... my main was Wiz/Rog since forever(2006). Cast spells, poke evil monsters with sharp things, even do some traps. OK, did some TR-ing(to get more Wiz/FvS lifes) and planed to join Warlock side. Was waiting to see what new EK is all about.
Will join Warlock-side.
I notice that apart from Wail and CoD I notice that a) you're not really casting much in the way of offensive spells in combat b) the spells were not particularly effective even on EE with endgame gear and c) you don't really have the spell points to cast them anyway. I had kind of expected the build to supplement sub par melee damage with AoE damage and CC spells but I'm concerned that only targeting touch ranged Mobs will make the build very difficult to play and result in frustration as time and spells get wasted on mobs as you move to avoid damage etc.
Did you get a chance to test the difficulty of the touch range at all?
