Issues with Dat files loading and crashes with "not current version of the client"

Good afternoon,

Have 2 issues from purchasing a new computer and downloading DDO.

1) on the login screen the Dat files gets stuck at 77%, in searching the forums the work around seems to be opening another DDO browser and letting it load then closing the first, which allows me to log in.


2) after logging in and choosing my world, the large loading screen pops up then crashed with the message "you do not have the current version of the client"


The only resources that I've found on the message boards to fix this are outdated and the links are no longer there for a solution. I've submitted a trouble ticket two weeks ago with no response back, additionally I sent a message to the "DDO help" on facebook. Trying to get a solution to this as I'm paying for a subscription that I cant use, so why keep it?

You are downloading from there, right? And when you run that, it needs to run for a while to update everything. You have firewall permissions correct, right? You try running it as administrator? You click yes if it asks to access the internet?

ok iv been dealing with this for 2 days on 2 different networks both wired and wireless...
first thing i've noticed was the game launches fine if plugged into a network cable but if wireless .... 77% stall every time.
tested this action at 2 locations and same effect at both, wired works fine but wireless ...no go.

now for the kicker...
seeing the post about the 2 launchers and it "almost" working i took it a step further...
again WIRED works fine ever time in our tests...soo...
when stuck in a wireless environment and cannot get past 77%

launch #1 and let it stall at 77%, launch #2 and let it load to the login screen but do not log in - close #1 thats stalled, and then continue logging into #2!!!
all should continue as normal from that point.

tested this method a few times and so far works every time.

hope this helps others and now get out there and do some killing....
