    Default Uber Tank Advice

    Hello folks!

I'm thinking in reroll my warlock tank into an uber tank to reach better stats for reaper content and any help or thoughts can be really useful to improve this.

My inicial thoughts are based in stack all %HP I can manage and raise the AC and PRR/MRR as much as possible from gear / enhament trees.

-- The idea to improve HP is get +20% racial from T5 Artificer Paragon Body (Renegade Mastermaker tree), +20% competence from T3 Fighter/Pally Tenacious Defense (Stalwart/Sacred Defender tree), +10% sacred from T4 Aasimar (racial tree), +20% insightful from T5 Epic Destiny Strength of Vitality (Unyielding Sentinel tree), +25% from Epic Defensive Fighting feat and +18%+ from LGS opposition gear.

-- AC can be raised from different sources like Reinforced Armor (+50% AC from armor), Stalwart Shield Mastery (+15% AC from shields), Reinforced Defense (+50% AC from armor and/or shield), Shield Prowess (+50% AC from shields) and Improved Mage Armor (+10% AC)

-- PRR/MRR I'm getting from enhancement trees, gear etc., but the Fighter split with 14 lvs gives me access to all heavy armor feats and gives me an extra +30 PRR/MRR

    -- Splits:

-> Artificer 5: Basiclally gives me +7 AC, Immunity to Magic Missiles, +10 heal amp,+20 repair amp*, +6PRR, +15MRR, +6 CON from Embed Component, +20% HP, Reconstruct SLA and 6 sec 95% dmg reduction with 3 min cooldown. And a few other goodies.
    * Using Artie lv4 extra feat to get Construct Essence I can use Reconstruct on myself and any extra repair amp can be useful.

-> Pally 5: Basically gives me +25 PRR/MRR, Lay on Hands and +6 extra uses/rest, Fear Immunity and CHA to saves (max +17). And a few other goodies. But lots of good stuff from Sacred Defender tree don't stack with Stalwart Defender tree

-> Warlock 5: Basically gives me Blur spell, Immunity to Fear and Magic Missiles, +3 AC, +19 PRR/MRR, +20 heal amp, Brilliance, Shining Through and Displacement SLA. And a few other goodies. But I can't use aura and Epic Defensive Fighting feat at same time, so I'll need choose between lose Brilliance+13PRR/MRR+20heal amp or +25% HP

-> other splits I didn't thinked 'bout, but I'm open for it and if I can get better stuff dropping some/all fighter lvs I'm up for that too.

The actual plan with enhancements, feats and epic destiny is this:

    14/5/1 Fighter/Artificer/Wizard
    True Neutral Aasimar

    A few notes and thoughts:
I believe you need 12 lvls of artificer for Exemplar (or be a bot)
If you are making this to be a reaper tank I would tweak a few twists. Cocoon won't do you any good since you'll be in epic def stance (rely on HH) and primal scream will not work on you since you'll be in a defensive stance immune to rage.
You'll find it is too costly to turn off combat expertise for power attack so no worth the feat. If you took for the cleaves then i guess it will come down to how high of skulls you are wanting to do. A build like this will not be able to push enough DPS with hate gear to hold aggro from solid DPS so their only use would be for solo purposes in lower skull stuff. The more DPS you build in, the more you limit yourself on the highest difficulty material.

There are many builds out there using this split. I'd take a look closer at one of them to give yourself a good start.

Yeah forgot 'bout melee range Cocoon and the rage Immunty from Defense Stance.

Anyway the idea of Power Atk with both cleaves was for Intimidate immune mobs, but I got your point with Defense x Ofense in this type of build and that's the real reason I'm looking to rebuild my lock tank (he's good only for low-mid skulls due the ofense/defense mix and that's it).

'Bout Construct Exemplar the info in the wiki is only this: "Prerequisite: Level 21"

And I appreciate the help with something to start off.

Ok so you are building a form of Intimitank. Artificer looks good. Paladin has level 2 class feat Divine Grace for a good amount of saves. Sacred Defender has more potential AC more saves and PRR MRR going Tier 5.

Fighter Stalwart Defender will stack AC for 100% armor and 80% shield increases. Could also get another 15% shield AC from racial source. 10% total AC increase from Eldritch Knight as well as you listed Combat Expertise. And more from Unyielding Sentinel.

And as you listed Heavy Armor feat line is 30 PRR MRR for a total of 80 between the two classes. There is also a potential for a lot extra threat generation % increases from the two SD enhancement trees if needed.

You have probably read this before but this is a great tank.

The Elven Steel Maiden ( AC Fighter ) -- Ravenloft Edition

Pay particular attention Selvera's rework of it.

I know it says that...but i'm still fairly sure it requires a bot or 12 levels of arti.

I don’t think epic deffensive fighting stacks with fighter/pally/bear hp stances.

You could also consider bear - you get a large amount of deffensive options in that tree. I don’t know if its better than pally however.

Confirmed: Epic defensive fighting grants a competence bonus, capped at 25%, if and only if you take at least 4 combat style feats. Personally, I feel +5% HP is simply not worth the severe drawbacks of this stance.

By the way, why so much Charisma? I thought the healing hands ability was based on Wisdom.
