Client crashes everytime I try to adjust screen resolution

It does it both on my laptop and my desktop.
Both run windows 10.
I have no idea what to do.

What was the fix?

I'm encountering the same issue on an HP Desktop/Windows 10. The game will only run on 1024x768-- if I try selecting any other resolution, it crashes and I get a DirectX error. I've tried installing the DirectX Redist (https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/down...s.aspx?id=8109) and adjusting my UserPreferences.ini filing (DisplayAdapater=1) based on some other forum posts I've seen, but neither has been successful in addressing this issue.

I have the same issue running win 10 DX12 on nvidia GTX1060 which should be awesome. But I cannot change the DX version it is stuck on 9 and greyed out how do I change it soon as I change resolution game crashes and closes out.
