New Currency type

Something like Astral Shards but trad-able directly between characters(without having to go through an auction house). Preferably account-wide(just like shards) and dropping in-game with a frequency that makes grinding for them semi-reasonable.

The plat economy is dead. Item duplications killed the FRDS/LDS economies. The only economy left is Astral Shards, and requires the Shard Exchange to go through. We need a new currency to facilitate a direct player-to-player economy.

That'd be my first choice.

But with a hard cap on maximum platinum that would be VERY difficult to increase, making plat work would require a some very drastic efforts. Comparatively, adding a new currency type probably wouldn't take much more than copying/pasting the shard code and tweeking it.

Alternately, let players buy astral shards for plat. That'd make plat relevant again real quick.

There's an inherrent problem with a trading currency being bound to account.
