I disagree. Its going to be put in the Dragonborn pack, just doing those two quests are enough of a chore. No other raid requires you to do other raids to flag for it. I just barely have opportunities to raid as it is (small children, I game with my hubby) but you are asking that I flag my various characters for multiple raids just to get the opportunity to run this one?

Mixed feelings. On one hand, it would make sense, as you are encountering Lord of Blades and Kor Kaza after they have both been defeated, but I feel like this would be too demanding with the game world today. Maybe years ago sure, but I feel like this is out of tune with DDO today. In Legendary Shroud, you are encountering Arraetrikos again after already defeating him there, but you are not required to run Shroud first. In Curse the Sky, Malicia comments on you previously beating her, but you aren't required to have run Under the Big Top to play the quest

Maybe years ago sure, but I feel like this is out of tune with DDO today. Malicia is first encountered in Wrath of the Flame, iirc.

On topic, I think DDO would be a much better game overall if the quest story lines were more intricately linked. You can't run STK until you run waterworks. You can't run Reavers's Refuge without having run GH and Reavers Fate. You have to run Necro 1, 2, 3 to run Necro 4 and Ascension chamber. Etc.

But DDO the RPG Game and DDO the MMO are sometimes at odds and this is one of them.

I get all the limitations in grouping that would create and that goes against the goal of an MMO to facilitate grouping and not create barriers to grouping. But for the segment of the population who wants an immersive story, it "breaks the 4th wall" a bit.

Wrath of the Flame was indeed the first quest with her, but Big Top is the first time you encounter her leveling-wise. I do like that they changed her dialog in Wrath of the Flame to reflect her meeting you before and saying something about you foiling her plans before

I definitely see your point of view with all this. I loved the way old quests linked together, waterworks mentioning STK, letter in STK mentioning Bergthrym from Threnal... All the buildup to the Truthful One coming.. If this was game was much more populous, or was a single player game like Skyrim, I would be 100% down for the quests having a lot more prerequisites to them, but I just don't feel like it's in the best interests of the server. Perhaps at least adding a saga to link these storylines together, like one for Waterworks, STK, and Threnal, or some of these other story arcs together
