Default The MaulBearian - Barbarian, Cleric, Druid Silvanus Maul Bear Roar

The MaulBearian - This ... is an achievement.

    Starting Stats: Str 18 | Dex 8 | Con 18 | Int 8 | Wis 8 | Cha 12
Past lives – no racial, all melee x 3, all Epic x 9 except Arcane, PDK x 3

** THIS BUILD REQUIRES A +3 HEART OF WOOD **

    11 Barbarian, 6 Cleric, 3 druid
You will take the levels under "starting split" when you start out then have to eat a +3 heart of wood after taking level 15 to sub out the fighter level and get the final split correct. 11 barb gives you greater rage for the +10 melee power and extra str/con. Cleric is better than FVS in my opinion because destruction domain allows you to continue to use divine might and divine favor while raged in addition to spot healing. Turn undead gives 3 melee power to party during boss fights as well. Druid Enhancements sync with rage and stack beautifully. Natural fighting is a better Combat feat style over THF as it gives so much more. Playing as a bear is well... amazing. And the puns. Oh.... the puns....

Starting split to sub out - take this class at this level then follow final split.
    Level 1 Fighter
    Level 4 Cleric
    Level 6 Cleric

    FINAL SPLIT
1 Druid | Power Attack & Stunning Blow
    2 Barbarian

    Weapon – 8.75 (1d10 +6) +176 | 15-20 x 5 crit range | 168 to hit

I will try to post a dps video although they seem to always fail. 1 test on R5 shows about 20K/s dps assuming 20% vulnerability which I don't produce. I guesstimate averaging 4% through smite foe.

Here is a Bruntsmash dps test on R5 with as much of the kitchen sink thrown in as possible (madstone boots make the most difference). I made sure not to stack Crazy Strike but it still did 3, then 3, then 2 so dps will be slightly lower after it's fixed. This is 20k/s assuming 20% vulnerable, I'm estimating 19K/s after the fix.

I pitched the same concept on Lama, so it pleases me to see someone was nutty enough to actually pull it off.

There is just something about using Maul with a maul.

On a side note, a squirrel is my familiar...

Managed to tank an LH killing time yesterday, thank you Unsin for the opportunity. Died twice but should of been using a 5 piece mat opp green steel instead of a 2 piece, could of got over 4k hp instead of 3750.
Ran R10's after that with some of my flavorite peeps.
I'm telling you people, this build is fun, you don't know what you're missing. I know it's expensive and your brain can short circuit trying to keep all the buffs up but the fun is real...

In case you use Tremor at lvl 29 i guess you may change improve critical feat? there is impact on tremor so it doesnt stack with imp critical.

I guess you could but then you are subbing out Overwhelming crit as well since improved crit is a prerequisite for it. Also I like having it for when I switch to a DR breaking maul which is often needed in R7+. I don't see any 2 feats that are better for this build even for just the small dps output from Overwhelming crit.

Is this build still working properly?

When I grab Enduring Beast from Nature's Protector, my character sheet reflects neither the additional +1 STR or +10 Healing Amp. This is regardless of if I'm raged, not raged, or have Nature's Defense active or inactive.

Additionally, the second rank of Enduring Beast shows minimum requirement to be Druid level 4 - is that WAI? AFAIK, it's the only Tier 3 enhancement that has a requirement to be level 4.

My guess is that you are not in animal form when looking at the character sheet for the stat change as that was the only thing you didn't mention that is necessary regarding Enduring Beast.

I believe I remember the second rank being unavailable for that reason as well, but I cannot say if it is working as intended or not.
