    You must have just been really lucky. RNG. I completed the clear the Graveyard private instance and only received a single key.

    Okay I finally got around to running the new Night Revels quest. It was fun, I liked the story. The decor was pretty nice. The great big cow skulls on the gate were almost homey. (I am from Texas) Why were there repaired ballistas outside the minotaur compound? They would not work for me and said Teleport Lock Enforced. Likewise after I re-assassinated the Minotaur Chieftain I could not take a repaired ballista flight back to Dorris for the same reason. I was not on an optimal character for fighting undead and plants so beating down the individual Needle Blights was getting tiresome but other than that I enjoyed myself. It did take awhile to re-kill all the minotaurs solo but I'm sure duo or in a group it won't take nearly so long.



    While in the Delera's Graveyard private Night Revels instance I did not encounter any Succubi or liches (except for the named one). I'm pretty sure I was fighting both last Night Revels but I don't know in what level they existed. Will both still be in the slayer zone of Night Revels? I was in a level 30 instance for this test and it seemed to be a wide level mix of undead mobs.

    I think this is a great idea. Maybe we can get some augments with other festival times, I could see the cunning Pirates creating a DEX and CHA augment, while the Winter festival would be for the hardy, and thus give a CON and STR augment. +1 for lvl 12, +2 for lvl 20, +3 for lvl 28.

    Since I was not able to get into the beta last night I had no idea what you did this year ... it completely changed the way the keys were handled, I was shocked when I realized that the instant part of the graveyard is now practically an instantiated challenge, I believe that this change was made because of those worloaks who put AFK in the instances of delera and farmed keys with macro stops, people entered that party where the worloak pokes the keys and collects all the keys, last year I remember that there were even raids of players who farmed keys in Delera.

    Now with this system the way the event works is completely different, you will have to create paries of 6 people of the same level and make the main challenge, which I assume dropping the keys, then after when enough keys are collected they go to do the various ingredients of the festival to be able to bartering ivari cosmetics and items from the vendor in the crypt.

    Although on the one hand makes everything more navigable and less confusing in the search for challenges and farming parties at the same level of difficulty, from the other goes to nerfing / penalize those players who with the worloak or using other mechanics were AFK in the area public of Delera for farming keys.

    And here we go on a very but very interesting point of the new event... for what what there is in beta 1 has not been completely revealed, in addition to the new green version of the Repaer plate mail, missing the corresponding cosmetic cloaks that I assume you'll add them in beta 2... but I'm intrigued by what this brings us instead of giving sweets... from delel "ghost dragon scales" or so they are called ... and makes me assume that with those you go bartering a series of special items...     Delara's Graveyard:
    - The challenge is a much better design.
    - Are Doomspheres supposed to be giant pumpkins or not? I had a 50/50 split on this in the CR:35 instance. If they're supposed to be pumpkins, could they be spectral pumpkins?

    Gravework:
    - I *really* hope Dorris's script queries if your character completed Framework and adjusts the dialogue accordingly.
    - Finding the Necromancer should probably be a requirement before you can damage the root wall.

    Loots:
    - No scaling effects on the cloaks? Sad. At the very least, give us a BtA cosmetic cloak to grind for.
    - No scaling effects on the handwraps? Sad.
    - The Rune arm looks interesting. But the Level 21 version should have a better version of Disrupting Weapons.
    Things worthy of Standing Stone going EXTREME PREJUDICE™ on.:
    • Epic and Legendary Mysterious ring upgrades, please.
    • Change the stack size of filigree in the shared bank to 50. The 5 stack makes the shared bank worthless for storing filigree in a human usable manner.
    • Fixing why I don't connect to the chat server for 5 minutes when I log into a game world.
    • Fixing the wonky Lightning Sphere and Tactical Det firing by converting them to use alchemist spell arcing.
    • Redoing the drop rates of tomes in generic and raid loot tables.

    Default Rune Arm

    I just saw the NR rune arm demoed by Cordovan in the livestream (not live for me). It looks awesome and I must have it. I love the rotating chains, very Ghost of Christmas Past. And the size is fine, it does not need to be made smaller. The shot effect itself didn't seem to be terribly impressive, but Cordovan didn't really demo it well so maybe I just didn't get a good look at it.

    Default Bugging the Undead

    I checked out the new Delera area and I like the seperation of the quest entrances from the slayer area. Maybe the lag will be improved this way. Also, the new mobs and the newest challenge (Gravework) are good additions. In regards to the slayer area I tried out a lvl 30 caster with both control and command undead and when I cast each of them the monster will fight and if it is not killed by the mobs then the instance will be incompletable. The previously charmed undead will stand in an inactive state once the charm spell is expired or removed. If this will cause too many issues maybe just make the undead in the graveyard immune to control spells (I would keep the undead in the challenges susceptible to these spells).

    I am very glad you made the items from last year bound to account. I honestly think this is the way to go unless the item is an exclusive and should be well worth the need to farm for every character. I think having items with incremental increases in power is very appropriate (say the every 4 level progression...4,8.12, etc.). That way if I am only running iconics or epic TR I can pick the level 16 or 20 item I want and forget about the others at least for this year.

    Default Effect of Switch to Private Instance

    Hi

    Looking forward to Night Revels this year. I have a couple of questions:

    Does the new, private Delera's instance now offer xp?

    Do the timers on xp and slayer potions run while in the new Delera's instance?

    I don't know about Slayer Potions but I'm willing to bet the timers on XP potions will because the new private slayer instance is a challenge in and of itself that rewards xp on completion. I think at level 30 I received 77k xp without any xp boosts.

    Can we get a key guaranteed every time we finish the quest?

    I've ran the quest twice and i didn't even get a key.

    Now that would be nice.

    Either that or they need to make keys available for purchase from chocolates same as compasses can be purchased by doubloons in Crystal Cove.

    Agreed.

    Ran this a few more times and am seeing 0-2 per run. The Delera's Challenge is fun but for someone trying to grind out gear, that's going to be frustration and burn out inducing.

    4 or 5 keys guaranteed per run plus whatever RNG throws at you might seem on the high end but it would be perfect to keep the parties moving and having fun.

    On the Friday Livestream Jerry did a lot of talking about how the events are run less often if the ingredients are not expired, and backed this up with claims that they have the data to show that this is the case. There was a logical lapse in that he claimed that someone with a pile of saved ingredients could just buy stuff the next time the event rolled around, when of course someone who earns that pile of ingredients can just make that purchase during the current event and then they have no need to run the event ever again anyway. The expiration of ingredients has nothing to do with this at all, and watching Jerry try to make a case for something he has to know is just a lie was cringe-worthy at best. I can only sympathize with an employee who has to try to justify the policy calls that are made above their pay grade no matter how clearly unreasonable they might be.

    Event participation has nothing to do with the history, either. The Night Revels ingredients expiring was said to have been done because of rampant duplication. But those duplicated ingredients have been expired, that was handled in the first year. So with that done, it's long past time to change things back to non-expiring ingredients instead of trying to justify the expiration with some new and different reason because for whatever reason the policy just isn't going to be changed.

    It really just looks like people with scheduling issues who are for whatever reason unable to make their purchases before the end of the event are being punished by bad data analysis or bad policies. While those people might feel compelled to run the event more in order to replace the ingredients they have had stolen from them, this should not be confused with them running less because they had saved ingredients. They will run the event the exact amount of times they would run the event if the ingredients did not expire on them. Pushing the run numbers up by expiring the ingredients and then pointing to some poor sap who has to re-collect ingredients they already spent the time to earn in game but didn't spend for whatever reason before they expired as evidence of increased event activity is just bad science.

    And this of course does not mesh up with the fact that all other events have non-expiring ingredients and Night Revels is the sole exception. I am of course not looking for a corrupt-a-wish change to every other event ingredient, but the easier fix would be to make the Night Revels ingredients persist. It's also the change which would eliminate a really jerk-like mechanic that should have been eliminated just as soon as the potentially duplicated ingredients had been expired.
