    I just pulled a Chipped Bastard Sword from the epic chest in Epic The Tide Turns, and a Chimera's Fang from one of the normal chests in the same run. I'd say the Epic Chest loot table needs another look. Fortunately, I haven't tossed any of the sigils. The old version upgrades to the new version in Visbane's Folly.

    My Sinister Handaxe is still BtC, and I believe that devs have stated in the past that fixing bind status does not require people to acquire a new item. The recent update to some Night Revels gear to no longer be BtC is a recent example of this.

    The Cry of Battle filigree set does not provide the set bonuses to hires/summons/charms. It does in part, but that does not quality it for a 'yes' response when answering the question of "does it do what it is supposed to do?" It is still broken and should be fixed.

    Hey, any idea when the monk class ability is going to show up in the DDO store? I figure, there wasn't any actual reason to remove a heroic
    core ability that monks have always had in every DnD game ever... SO, it must be a marketing ploy to sell it back to us as an "improved feature".

    If you mean the increased damage by Monk level, this has been explained as working differently in DDO, where weapons actually get better as you level for everyone.
    Please compare.

    Right now, Duality, the Moral Compass, using DDO's system, deals 46.5 (7[d6+3]) average base die damage, +15 for its enhancement bonus.
    Using the pen and paper rules, it would deal 11 (2d10]) + 15, because enhancement bonuses work the same way in both versions.
    That version would also take up the Neck slot, in the form of an Amulet of Mighty Fists, and would have no other added effects beyond that enhancement bonus.
    DDO's version just keeps the weapon slot relevant for monks, something that was actually pretty bad design in the pen and paper game.

    Even before the nerf, monks couldn't keep pace with the higher crit mult and damage base of other melee. My barbarian at TEN, was outdamaging my monk at 19. after the nerf, it's rediculous. They removed a core class skill, to solve a 29+ issue with ONE set of wraps. There was no issue until then. Their solution to this was abysmal. Monks can't even use wraps for utility like they used to. If we don't use BIS, we get tooled even worse. They turned the monk into a "I need a monk life for 1 damage" joke.

    This isn't 3.5 anymore, none of the classes are designed that way, and you can't compare it as such. I had 17 monks on my grouping list before this. Now, NONE. They all rerolled to double-V rangers, and barbarians.

    Here's a small typo for you to fix: When you take the quest The Tide Turns from Greigur d'Deneith and talk with him again, in his dialogue, there's this: "yiou're out here".

    An Invitation to dinner. A door is blocked by a door. Stairwell. Level 4. I never entered there directly. I did the Stahd challenge. Was teleported there. Above was blocked by the red forcefield. Unless I missed it, there is no exit other than the door. Heroic Elite (as a L30) in case it matters.

    EDIT = oh, and /stuck not so helpfully ported me back to the mid way point of that tower instead of out of the enclosed area with no exits.

    What scared me is that I also had a plot item that "drops on leaving adventure". I knew it wouldn't drop at the door, but right there, as per most quests. My hireling timer was also out. I risked it. Recalled out of the dungeon and went right back in.

    Fortunately, even though I didn't "have" the item (Icon of Ravenloft), the checkmark on the quest progression was enough. Re-entry penalty... but could have been worse. I was literally done 10 minutes after that. I could have had to restart the whole thing.

    Search Disclaimer: I tried to search on this topic here, but, unless I missed the checkmark, it gave me threads, not posts. Most "door is blocked by door" including here, are 10-20+ page threads. So, I apologize if I missed it. I even did a page by page search of the word "block" in this specific thread but didn't find reference to Invitation to dinner here... unless, of course, I missed it.

    That door does not open in that quest, it is used when you return to the castle in "Raven at the Door". There is a stairwell back in the Strahd portrait room at the bottom of that tower. (or you can jump in the pit that opens up.)

    The (potential) exit is further up the stairs from that door. However, the fact that it tells you "the door is blocked by door" is silly and imo should be something else, like "the door is blocked by a field of energy" or something like that.

    Yeah. I didn't mind about the phrasing. I just didn't find the other exit in the portrait room that Krelar was talking about. Or that pit. There was the secret door that was a dead end cubby. There was the bedroom, the shrine room and the painting room... and that stairwell that had the door blocked by door... and the potential exit up top that was blocked by the red force field.

    I thought I was penned in. I'll have to look harder in the portrait room because all I found was the dead end stairwell in the area.

    The center of the portrait room is a comfortable floor. I am not sure if it triggers when you first step on it or at a certain point during the fight. I have avoided the center of the room ever since my first run when i feel through it.

    On the topic of that quest: does anyone at ssg realise how useless the maps are in thsee type of quests with multiple floors and doors that teleport with a leading screen instead of simply open so you can walk through? I understand that due to technical limitations of the game a door has to act as a teleport to a new area in big quests. But the map doesn't need to be that way. I'm taking about the in quest map you bring up (default hotkey m).

    Just an FYI, I ran The Tide Turns on Epic Hard last night (11/23) and pulled a number of named items from the normal chests. They were the nice preupgraded version you fixed for us. However, the Epic Chest gave me a Jidz-Tet'ka that was the older version that needed the old sigils to be upgraded.

    Any chance at making the iconless races more Iconic? Even a scribble in Paint would work if it also gets rid of the "..." where the race/gender is supposed to be on mouseover.

    Default Barbarian Occult Slayer T6 bugs

    So Kargon playing around with some new barbarian stuff, and notice what look like 2 bugs:

    Occult Slayer T6 Seeker's Strike are not ever reset Momentum Swing cd, even though are a Cleave and say are Cleave in description.

    T6 Vampiric bond also have issues unless Kargon not understand scaling:
    Always give Kargon 20 HP. description say "These temporary hit points scale with 200% melee power."

    Kargon have somewhere around 95 to 98 melee power, so if kargon doing math (not a good idea) kargon should get somewhere near 60 temp hp.

    Give KTA deadly it's own unique bonus, which it probably is coded as, so just change the text description.
