Can wolf pups dodge? (I'm thinking about equipping Duelist Leathers on him.)

If I put Epic Duelist Leathers (level 24, new version) on my wolf pup, is he going to get the dodge bonuses from it? I'm thinking of putting it on him but he will lose 5 AC in the process. I figure that much dodge is more valuable if it works.

I tried equipping +PRR and +HPs on my wolf after Wolf/Bear Pass and it did not affect the character sheet. This could have been fixed by now, but who knows.
