Default Downtime Notice: Wednesday, July 25th 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM Eastern (-4 GMT)

The DDO game worlds will be brought down for a weekly restart on Wednesday, July 25th from 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM Eastern (-4 GMT). Thank you for your patience.

Notes: We are continuing to work on a small patch to fix several Update 39 bugs in addition to an issue preventing some OSX players from launching the game. We'll have more information on that downtime as we get closer to it.
Have fun, and don't forget to gather for buffs!

Actually the way it's worded, this is just a weekly restart. This line "We'll have more information on that downtime as we get closer to it." makes it sound like the note is for an upcoming patch. If that patch is included in this downtime that would explain the 3 hours though.

There is no patch today, that timeframe was made when there was still the potential for a patch to happen. Only a restart was performed.

And, in fact, the worlds are already back open.
We don't only build for the builds that exist.
We don't only build for the builds that are good right now.

The fact that some changes are necessary is not diminished by the fact that other necessary changes have not happened yet.

    Default Changes to Eveningstar

    Howdy Folks,

I'm not really sure where the best place to mention or post so right off the hop. Sorry. Im not sure if anyone is aware or not but the "new" bushes are now covering up Gizla NPC saga keeper in Eveningstar. Please fix. Ahh thanks?

Since this restart/patch, I've been unable to log on. I get to the connecting to the patch server and time out every time. Is there something I might try other than verifying clearances for my anti-virus/firewall and even reinstalling the game, which I've already tried?

You could perhaps try running it as an administrator if you aren't. Tech support can be reached here: help.standingstonegames.com

Otherwise it does sound like a firewall or Windows UAC issue to me.

Since the restart there are awful lags in Cannith. Lags I haven't seen before that restart.
Like in slavers, been running it for the past 2 weeks non stop - the major lags started post the restart.
    Server: Cannith
Mains: Miahoo, Miahoorog, Miahoohealer, Miahoohjeal, Miahoopuke

I tried all that as well. That's what the Tech Support email said to try, as well as a few other things, but was just wondering if anyone on the forum had an off-the-wall idea. Anyway, I think I have it sorted. I did a full Windows reset and am downloading/running things I want one at a time. So far so good. The launcher passed the former place where the error was occurring, so hopefully I'll be back in-game soon!

    SPOKE TOO SOON! LOL!
I get all the way to putting in my password and then it just disappears completely from the active/running programs...ugh...lol

I can now get to where I can hit PLAY, then it just disappears. FML

This one I can probably solve: You'll want to run the DirectX Runtime. Your Windows OS probably has DX12, but it's less backwards compatible than it claims, at least for DDO. Find it here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down...ils.aspx?id=35
