I've been on DDO since '09 and I even played a little in Beta. I bought a new PC because my old one just couldn't do Ravenloft. I have standard characters as well as more then a few flavor builds that have actually turned out pretty awesome. One of them is a heavy picker and tower shield build that is focused on AC and crits as well as crit multipliers. The three sentient able heavy picks are Morning Lord, Night Mother's, and Periron's Talon. I would like to have seen one in Tethyamar (miners), or Thunderholme (more miners), or possibly if future quests take us back to Cannith we could get a big can opener. So many of the raging disciples were wielding heavy picks, I was a little surprised that the chain didn't have one.
There seems to be a few missed opportunities when it comes to loot and I'm fairly sure heavy picks are not alone, but of the large or heavy hitting weapons, it is my opinion that heavy picks need a little love.

I am in full agreement with ye man. Heroic Pick build are fun till 20, but other than LGS, Thunderforged and the ones you've mentioned, there really is a glaring lack of Heavy picks. A couple of Light Picks got added sure, but Heavy Picks (which feature in several enhancement tree builds like Dwarf Racial and as a x4 Crit option for SWF and TWF fighters) are seemly shafted by new pack loot lists. Along with Longswords and Kamas.
