Well crud, I do not know. I do recall that being discussed.

I just got back from like an 18 month break, so maybe?

    Maybe someone can chime in.

Though, there is not a shortage in content anymore.

8 no longer repeat quests unless I am farming gear, or if I am in a good party and I know it will be fast.

Well my phone ate my response...

But yeah, it appears you are correct.

So there isn't really a NEED to skip, unless you are farming favor and just want to "save time" by not running it twice, once on HE and once on EE or ofc R.

Here is the page on DDOWiki that agrees with you.

    https://ddowiki.com/page/Experience_...8Individual.29

EDIT: and....my phone posts my previous response like 15 miinutes later...

    Default Level 4-7

Got to play and went from level 4 to level 7.

Levels 4 and 5 were rough because I started doing Reaper and a few unlucky deaths...like 2 Champs and a Reaper or 2+ Reapers in certain quests (last quest of Waterworks...randomly 3+ reapers all attacked at once).

At level 6, I took my first healing spell and the feat Empowered Heal. Maximize would probably actually be better. I thought Empowered Heal affected Ameliorating Strike (like the cleric aura), but I guess I am wrong. My thinking was "Pick Empowered Heal so I can use the free feat swap from Addy body to Mythril body at level 12" since War Soul Tier 5 has amazing bonuses for Mythril body.

I think Maximize would work better, but really I don't think it matters that much.

Once I was able to reliably self-heal and not count on a hireling, things got way easier.

I get the feeling this build will get stronger as it levels...as do most caster classes.

Oh, and as soon as you can get Ameliorating Strike...do so...it is amazing.

Also, 1 piece of armor/gear I recommend is a Devotion/Healing Amplification item. I made these on my Gloves and they are super useful.

    Default Level 7-9

I got to XP from level 7-9 last night.

At level 8, I got to use Slaver's Gear and it made a big difference.

Level 9, I got to upgrade my Reaper Points (I have 22 points) and I think it helped.

Big things for level 9 were upgrading my Great Sword to BlackRazor. It is also my slime beater since it is crystal and it looks cool.

My feat at level 9 was Improved Two-Hand Fighting. Seems really noticeable. More Strike-through and hit harder from stat multiplier.

I am looking forward to level 10 for Ravenloft gear and a good Ravenloft Greatswords. I have the Barovian and Macabre Weapons (Greatsword and Quarterstaff for Skeletons).

This build has nice Hit Points and decent AC etc.

    Very pleased so far.

Will be moving for a few days, so it might be a little while before i can give an update.

    Default Went from 9-12

I went from 9-12 with some solo and some grouping.

Did all of Heroic Ravenloft on R1.

Did not have any deaths, but a few close calls because it is easy to aggro 2 rooms worth of mobs. A couple times i had multiple reapers and champions and general trash mobs, and it was hard to heal through it.

My Etheral Sword from Keep on the Borderlands Ingot turn in has started to show its age. I think it would have been smarter to have had an at-level Reaper-beater.

At level 11, I started swapping in Spectral Gloves, instead of swapping weapons. My usually full-time my Devotion/Healing Amp Cannith Crafted gloves.

Level 12 I took Improved Critical Slashing and Heal spell. This was a huge power jump for me because I now can use Lit II Greensteel Greatsword, but I think the freebie Ravenloft Greatsword is fantastic. I will swap back and forth depending on the content I am running for sure.

Will update once I get a chance to play some more!

    Default 12-14

Did some Gianthold and Necro 4 and some other quests of this level range.

This build is very easy to use.

Empowered Heal feat + Heal Spell and Healing Amp and Devotion items (I have it on my gloves) really lets you power through most things.

DPS is decent and Crowd Control spells work really well if you target the correct spell. I mainly use 3 CC spells. Soundburst, Cometfall and Greater Command.

Also having strong buffs helps the party out a good bit.

Extremely pleased with how this build/life is going. I have finished 3 Sagas, but not turned them in (RL, GH and Sentinels/3BC) because I keep running out of quests per level.

    Default 14-21

Going from 14-20 was stupidly easy.

    Such a good leveling build.

20-21 wasn't rough, but there was a big jump in monster HP

21, with Overwhelming critical, the HP bloat became more manageable.

Also my Cannith Crafted gear is 21, so that was helpful too.

I will use random named loot here and there up to 28-30.

Still trying to work on gear lay out for that stuff.

Have a look at the epic Borderlands loot, there's some good stuff for ML:21. SSG has been so focused on endgame for years, I appreciated they added some new low-epic gear for a change. Also White Plume Mountain pack and epic Deleras has ML:21-25 gear.

I have actually started farming those trying to upgrade my old Cannith Crafted gear

The Serrated Arrowhead is amazing, I no longer have to swap wepaons for Reapers.
    https://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Serrated_Arrowhead

This build is so fun, I plan on doing 3 or more ETRs with it trying to farm lots of Tokens for TRs and Comms and Heart Seeds along with RXP.

I like that you can just be a "healer" with CC if that is what is needed in higher reapers.

Or I can swat stuff with a sword and do pretty decent in solo EE or R1.

    Default 2x-30

I got to 30 pretty easily.

This build can solo "easier" content pretty easily on Epic Elite or low reaper if you are careful.

It really shines in lower reaper (up to 4) where you can melee what the melees are hitting and drop Consecrate and Mass Heal or Heal single target.

I did some Reaper 8 stuff, where I just hung out in the back and used a shield and a caster stick.

I ETR'd pretty soon after hitting 30 because that was the last EPL I needed for Epic Completionist.

Will probably stay at cap a while once I get to 30 again to farm more RXP and gear etc.

I am up to 25 Reaper Points, so I will work on that.

If someone needs a FVS life and hates playing as a caster, this lets you scratch that itch as a melee.

I have really enjoyed this and I think it can absolutely be end game viable, just need to play what the party needs.

    Default 20-26 (again)

Still working out really well. Can easily change EDs for what I am doing.

I run Fury of the Wild when soloing because Adrenalin and the THF buffs are really helpful for clearning trash.

When doing harder content, whether that is because I am underleveld or higher reaper, I can swap to other EDs for that.

I did R8 Ravenloft Saga (every quest except the raids) in a PUG with some people I know when I was level 22 (I think I hit 24 doing this). They just needed a buff bot an a healer. I swapped to Fatesinger so I could give them songs and have some other nice Fatesinger bonuses and I just used Heal and Mass CURES (mass heal seems too slow for higher content, but I did use Mass Heal too). I played a bit passively due to the gear/stat/DCs. I just hung back and tossed out heals and restores etc.

I really like that I can do early epics for farming gear (Borderlands) and I can hop into newer content at earlier levels (Age of Rage, Ravenloft and Sharn) and farm gear and get some nice RXP and XP.

Unsure if I will stay at level 30 a while ane earn a bunch of heart seeds and farm gear...or just ETR and TR to 1. Or should I just ETR and snag another EPL because I can easily farm gear and EPLs on this build. Also, I haven't done any slayer areas on these lives, so that could be used to zip back to 30 really quickly.

Anyway I do want to thank Ungbongwah for making my original build/idea way better. It has been really a really fun build to play and I am sure I will run this a lot more, especially with the racial past life thingy that lets you pick another race.

Coming back to this build (again).

I think this will be my "final" build as in I will probably run this over and over again...maybe use that wish for racial thingy?

Anyway I do only have 1 Paladin life and 1 Dragonborn life for 1 more Racial AP and 10 more healing amp...so will get that done eventually.

I have a slightly better handle on gear now, but would appreciate help a good bit..

Healing amp is a thing for this build because of the Warforged punishment, but I think I can get around it.

Also by being WF, I am limited by set bonuses because most of the "divine" set bonuses require an armor that is not a docent.

Anyway I am hoping to put together 2 sets of gear for this build at end game.

    1 Melee set

    1 Caster/healing set

When doing raids or Reaper 5+...I am thinking I will use a caster stick and a good shield and stand back and be a spell caster.

Anyway, any help on putting gear together would be great..

So far a few ideas for Healing Amp are...

Bloodrage Chrism Trinket from Baba Yaga Raid (I think this would be my best option)

Doctor Leroux Minor Artifact Necklace with Equipped Healing amp and some Exceptional Healing Amp (this locks me out of other Minor Artifacts)

Legendary Bracers of Order and Chaos Competence Healing amp 80 (with resistance 16).

Will definitely do some gear Tetris with both sets and will post once I think I have it figured out.

Those two stack, allowing yourself to heal yourself much easier in high skull content.

Yuppers! I was thinking I can use that Necklace minor artifact for self-healing in higher content, but in content where I get to melee rather than cast...I will use "Part of the Family" necklace for the set bonus.

Also the the types of healing amp bonuses on Dr Leroux seems pretty rare.

Trying to find a way to have a caster or healer set bonus and a melee set bonus depending on what type or difficulty I am running.

I really appreciate the input Soulfurnace.

Rerolled into this again last night.

Have slightly better gear for heroic leveling now and my Epic Gear is way better.

Planning on staying in the epic levels a while on this to farm out a bunch of EPLs.

Planning to run this build next life on my main, any chance you've got a recommended gearset for end game?
I've got one in mind but would certainly appreciate any tips you have.

Just came back to the game after a few years away. I have a Lord of Blades build from back in the day. Thinking about doing a LR to respec to this build. Is it still viable in the current game?

If you want to stay WF, then yes melee FvS with a greatsword works just fine. Caster FvS with lasers is faster and blows things up faster, but melee is quite survivable assuming you're not trying to maximize everything. You can go non-WF and pick up Greatsword as a Favored Weapon with 4 pally levels from KotC (or wait until 23 and get it from Divine Crusader ED). More gear == moar better, but quite doable without a ton of stuff.

The feat list is still roughly the same, namely: Adamantine Body, THFx3, ImpCrit Slash, Quicken, +whatever at 18 (I did Maximize). You can go WIS and put points into falconry, or CHA and not puts points into falconry or STR and beat things up the old fashioned way. You cast mostly meta-ed heal spells and will likely not run out of mana at cap even if you try to. Assuming you go WIS/CHA, you'll still be. decent caster if you put on a better gear set.

The main downside is that it's really hard to gear for both offensive casting and hitting things at any level.

I took a 2 year break to handle some real life stuff and the game feels really new to me again.

I found out that epic gear, specifically the Epic Sword of Shadows is more attainable now...

So I converted one of my Sword of Shadows into the Epic one last night!

Currently, I am running a WF Arty and its still one of my favorites too, but I think I will be getting back to the WF FVS soon enough.

I do want to get 1 more Paladin Heroic Past life and really wanting 3 Sacred Fists Past Lives.

Healing amp is extremely noticeable on this build, especially in higher Reaper.

I will do another leveling diary on this build when I TR back into it. It will probably be a few weeks before I swap back to this.

I forgot to add, doing Pure WF FVS, and using Warsoul and Falconry and some of the Warforged Tree.

Will get to this build in a bit. Need 1 more Dwarven Life to unlock one of Racial AP (up to 6 now).

Also, I want a few more Epic Lives and a couple more Heroic lives. I want 1 more regular Palidin life and might go after 3 of the new Palidin lives. Healing Amp is super helpful for every build, but for a self-healer that is Warforged, its really necessary.
