    Default Awesome Stuff but...

Let me first say that I have not stepped onto lamania to run any of the new quests or play with any of the new loot (waiting till it goes live and looking forward to it).

One thing I have noticed with most of the ravenloft and all of the age of rage named items is that they all drop from end chests. While this is all fine and dandy, where is the incentive to go do the optionals? Unless you did something different with the new quests and made the optional XP worth it, or made all the optionals happen to be on the way (like von 3) I don't see people doing the optionals much if at all. Just like most of the current optionals in most of the quests. Which is a shame because most of the optionals in the age of rage pack are well thought out and get skipped because the only thing we get from it is a small amount of xp and a chest with... random gen loot.

While im sure this isn't the place to be addressing the sad state of most optionals, would it really hurt to make some of the named loot drop from optional chests? It would at least mix up the quests a little bit instead of simply a zerg to get to the end chest for quest xp and all of the named loot.

Probably not the right place to put this, but I cannot access Lamannia using the new launcher. I go to log in and select the server, and then nothing.

If you use Vistani Knife Training I and attack while sneaking theres a about a 2 second delay before you can make an attack. This is most probably due to the long animation.

I understand what you are going for here, and I applaud it.... I would love to see optionals run more often... but understand this. If you put named loot in an optional chest, people will just farm the optional. They will zerg to the optional which is probably closer than the end-chest.

I guess you could add optionals PAST the end-chest. Kind of like fighting the Abbot AFTER finishing the quest in Sunrise gives you another shot at named loot.

It seems CSW core from Renegade Mastermaker also reduces ASF by 20%, (at least on docents; haven't tried it on armors or shields). Is this WAI (I assume not but it's safer to ask).

Also Wrathful Weapons does not seem to be working on my daggers (took Blood of Vol) on confirm crit of 20. I tested it in the dojo though, so I'm not sure if that would be accurate for the purposes of actual adventuring.

What if the optional chest had a reduced drop rate? Could be as much as 1/2 to 1/3 less than the drop rate in the quest difficulty, then it would still make more sense to complete the quest for a better chance but people might also take the time complete the optionals for smaller chance of being lucky.

Yes and no, look at the madness of crowds. Im currently farming for a second shield and so don't bother doing the optionals because they would take as long or longer than just zerging to the end. I guess it comes down to quest design if it would be feasible to put some of the juicy or semi jucy named loot in an optional chest or not.

Now imagine that in the madness of crowds that the wild flame had a chance to drop from one of the optionals and wild frost from a different one. Both take as long or longer to do than just running to the end (which is where most of the named loot would actually drop). I just think it would encourage more diverse questing than just the zerg fest that currently seems to be going on... that being said it would prolly just change to a zerg to optional 1, zerg to optional 2, etc.

This is currently the case for White Plume specifically. Some of the items drop in specific optional chests. The end chest does not contain every named item, too, as there are way too many for just one shot. There is a lot of fun stuff in White Plume, it'd be a shame for people to avoid the big spinny tunnel and race to the end, yanno?

Update 39 Preview 2 has ended. Thank you to everyone who took the time to try things out! If you haven't already, we would love it if you took the extra time to provide any and all feedback of anything from the preview that you have thoughts on in their appropriate threads.

I'm hoping there will be a third preview with tweaks and changes, particularly in the realm of War Priest/Soul, atleast before you go live.

Just out of curiosity do you have an ETA for when it goes to live servers? Or will there be another preview on lamania.

If you made changes to heroic Red Fens items, why didn't you finish the loot update for that pack? Weapons and armor are still not revamped...

I was just about to complain about these two. Nice fix.

There are problems with objectives in some Tangleroot quests too.
