Alt-Tab = FPS drop

Whenever I alt-tab (like to check the wiki for a map) my in-game FPS drops to like 2 and I greatly dislike it. FPS returns to normal once I click back to my game window... Game is on Ultra / my comp is overkill etc. etc.

Anyone ever have this issue and know a remedy? The game has always done this for me and ONLY in DDO.


If this is intended ...can I force it off in any way?

Are you using "Fullscreen" or "Fullscreen (windowed)" mode? I find the latter has less of a performance drop when I am in a different window. YMMV etc.

Fullscreen windowed so tabbing out isn't annoying
