Iron Defender Collars not working

I have tried 4 different collars on my lvl 17 arti for my iron defender only the named one listed on the wiki works, crafted, brought on ah, and barovian handwrap converted to collar give no better damage than no collar at all, please advise

I've had the exact same issue with a Cannith crafted handwrap converted to collar for my druid dog, the extra damage effects (Xd6 damage of Y element) do not function on anything but named collars.

Literally the ONLY collars i've tested that worked were Thrall of the Fire temple (Elemental Evil) and Hound of Night (Ravenloft)
