    Default Poison spell

Hi, I was wondering if anyone uses this spell and can tell me how it interacts with empower/maximize.
In the spell description it says it applies a 1d10 CON damage immediately and again after a minute which already seems a lot of CON damage to reduce an enemy's life considerably plus his fort saves which can come handy with some necro spells. Does empower/maximize increase the CON damage or what? does the spell also does negative or untyped spell damage and that's what is buffed? Can it be used on bosses? I remember bosses not being able to take many ability damage but are they immune to poison too?

I can honestly say I've not used Empower or Maximize with this spell.

My Experience is the spell only damages the Constitution of the infected creature - but it has been awhile since I used this spell.

As for bosses, keep in mind that if they can be poisoned the maximum Attribute Damage you can do on a Boss is -10. In heroic, the recovery rate is the same as a player, however, if they can cast HEAL or have nearby ADDs that can HEAL they will recover quicker. In Epics the Recovery rate is a lot faster.

Don't bother, it's not worth it's spell points. It does absolutely nothing, or nearly so. Use negative levels instead.

Thanks! I tested and empower/maximize don't add nothing. The spell seems to do damage, a number appears above the monster, but it doesn't really do damage just the CON damage. It's handy to reduce max hp on tough mobs which have deathblock or deathward since deathward doesn't protect against the spell but I agree that enervation would be more useful in general. Just wondering what empower or maximize would actually do to the spell but it seems they just make it consume more sp.
