Rune Turn in not possible if you accepted the raid. That's not wai, is it?

Greetings all,
I am sure this came up before but I can't find a post. So please bear with me to bring this up another time.

I'd like to turn in some strahd runes but I can't because I accepted the raid already and can't abandon to get the right dialoge. This happens apperently to all rune turn ins for raids.
So before I am able to turn in my runes I have to run that raid again. This is kind of stupid and I can't imagine that that is wai. BUT if it's not, it takes a pretty long time to fix this.
Can we get a official comment on this? Will this be adressed in the near future?

Happened to me when all I wanted to do was look at the items while waiting for the group to gather. Now I'm more careful about when I accept the quest, but it's not something we should need a workaround for.

Well, I am not talking about a workaorund. I am asking if it is wai? If it is, it is a bad concept, imo. But if it is not, will it be fixed in the near future?
