Default Returning player, a few questions.

So, I decided to join another server with some RL friends and we are enjoying the game again, but I noticed, some of my new characters have a slice of birthday cake and some don't. All new characters, made within the same few days, but no pattern or reason why a few got it and others didnt.

Also, how do I get the Elite Spider mask to stop showing up by default everytime I log in? I want to leave it on to save inventory space, but I dont want it to show up. Ive set my characters to not show any head gear, yet its back whenever I log in. Thanks all!

    Try the command line of

    /showhelmet off

that should keep it off all the time

You had to actually log in with the character during the event, which lasted maybe a week or so, in order to get the b-day cake. I'm guessing you missed the deadline on a couple of your characters.
My take on "the grind": https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...=1#post6220972

Ordinary humans have inhibitions that serve as a buffer against what we know is bad behavior.
However, some people, by blaming others for their own bad behavior, develop a thought pattern that allows them to override self-control in order to achieve a selfish end.
    - My opinion on exploiters and cheaters blaming SSG for unfair punishment.

    Thanks ZeeDatRogue, it worked!

Fedora1, I figured, but oddly enough I had a few characters get the cake when I made them about 6 weeks ago, WAY past the event. I was wondering if my account was just flagged for it or something? I dunno, just know I had cake on some and not all and they were all made in the same week
