Gingerspyce's week in videos: Reaper Life 2 levels 5-8

Reaper Life 2 is cruising through early heroics with some big skull completions, having done nothing below 8 skulls since level 3. In addition to the goal of challenging ourselves and sharing that challenge with others, we also want to show that high skull heroic reaper quests are not only reasonably possible, but can be done without using cheese methods and without a bunch of warlocks. With 6 different classes, the RL2 crew is a very balanced party with overlapping roles of healing, crowd control, charming and trapping, and a little bit of tanking on my part. While some of us have a stack of reaper points, none of us have our wings yet and our lowest point count is Mickydees, who started this life with just 14 reaper points. From levels 4-8, the maximum number of reaper points that can be spent and benefitted from is 36.

Episode 4: R10 Chamber of Insanity
Mickydees is the superstar here. With a capable turning cleric, this one is reasonable on R10. The boss gave us a run for our money and even with Micky's great heals and turns, we still saw a rough patch. This quest earned us our 8th R10 completion so far this life!

Episode 5: R8 Troglodyte's Get (Garl's Tomb part 1)
The highest I had attempted this one prior to RL2 was R6, so R8 was a fun challenge. The casters in here are no joke and they certainly wrecked us early on!

Episode 6: R8 Gwylan's Stand
Gwylan's is such a great classic. It can run really long on higher skulls so the highest I had previously attempted this one was 5 skulls. Bumping it up to 8 skulls was a pretty big jump for us and we get clobbered more than once! This one ran a bit long but was another fun challenge.

Episode 7: R10 Tharashk Arena (VON 1)
Another classic! I had done this one on R8 before and that proved to be a serious challenge. We decided to go all the way to R10. I thought we did really well up til the 3rd wave in the end fight, when things started to unravel. We held it together, but this certainly was an embarrassing moment of many deaths for me, lol. Doing these high skull quests can be a very humbling experience!




By the time we finished level 8, we had garnered 16 R10 completions and a total of 464 skulls toward our goal of 1000 skulls by the time we reach level 20! We appreciate all the great comments so far and we are looking forward to sharing many more big skull completions with you. But most importantly we are looking forward to sharing the fun and the laughs!
