Default Sentient weapon augment issue - not taking 'regular' augment

    Hi everyone,

Since I didn't see a section (and didn't find a thread) about this, I thought I'd ask here. I have a sentient weapon that has an empty Red Augment slot in it. However, every time I try to put it in the regular augment slot window, it says "This item does not have an empty augment slot". Clearly it does in the weapon description.

    Is this a bug?

I'm afraid to try the sentient augment window for fear it will 'eat' the augment gem I want to slot, instead of attaching it. Anyone know anything about this?

    Thanks!

When you say "I try to put it in the regular augment slot window" you do mean dragging the weapon and dropping it in the barter interface that opens after you double-click your red augment, yes?
Because if you mean dragging it and dropping it in the green gem/augment interface in your inventory screen, that's for legendary greensteel.

I am not sure what you are trying to do here. If u are trying to put a normal red augment in the red slot you have to click the augment then put the item with the red slot in the pop up box (The item has to be unlocked).

Putting in a regular augment (such as a "ruby of ___" or a "Topaz of ___") into a colored augment slot is done via double clicking the augment itself. This opens up a barter window. Drag your item with the augment slot into that window and select which augment option you want (some items have more than one slot).

Putting in LGS gems is done via the green gem button on the right side of your inventory screen. Open that window, drag the LGS item into the appropriate spot there, then drag the LGS gem into the appropriate tier slot. This can only be done in public zones (not inside quests).

Adding Filigrees to sentient weapons and feeding a sentient weapon is done via the red gem box on the right side of your inventory screen. Open that window, put the sentient weapon into the appropriate slot, then drag food into the feeding slot, and/or drag Filigrees into the unlocked filigree slots.

Some old legacy items might still be floating around with Guild Crystal slots in them. This is no longer supported, but you may come across them in the AH from time to time. If you get one of these and you have a guild crystal (purchased in house K), you add them by going to the Stone of Change and placing both the item and the crystal into it.

    Ah, thanks everyone.

Just assumed the green thing in inventory was for all augments - because it simply says "Add or remove augments from equipment" (It probably should have "Green Steel" put in front of "equipment", and a 'Green Steel' title added to the top of the window that opens when you click on it.)

    Problem solved.

Ya, I really wish they'd clean that up to make it consistent. Reportedly though, and overhaul of the augment system is at least in the backlog of things to do.
That's not lag, it's just DDO trying to become turn-based again.

OMG... that button has a purpose... I just assumed it was some broken "add regular augment" functionality that was meant to make slotting augments easier but had never actually worked.
