Default Toxic Treatment quest can eff right the eff off.

Toxic Treatment is a keen example of the Developer's hate towards players of DDO.

This end fight is not a "challenge". To call it a challenge means there is a actually a chance of success.

Took the suggestion of others and bought some Glitterdust scrolls BUT COULDN'T EFFING CAST THEM OR SLEETSTORM BECAUSE OF THE GD BEHOLDER'S ANTIMAGIC SO THAT WAS A BUST.

Got the XP for the quest after using a Jibber's Blade AND MIRACULOUSLY KILLED THE BOSS (MAYBE THERE SHOULD BE A WARNING AT THE QUEST BEGINNING TELLING PLAYERS TO GO RUN EPIC TWO TOED TOBIAS AND GET JIBBER'S BLADE FIRST)

Couldn't loot the chest because despite the boss being killed I still had Orange DA worth of Hateful Stares shooting me.

You developer's, you mean-ass SPITEFUL developer's can go get bent. Quests like this is the reason ALL MY PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING OF YOUR HUMANITY GOES RIGHT OUT THE WINDOW WITH THE BABY AND THE BATHWATER.

GET A GD CLUE AND STOP PUNISHING PLAYERS FOR ENJOYING PLAYING DDO WITH YOUR SHORT-SIGHTED RIDICULOUS IDEA OF CHALLENGING BOSS-FIGHTS

Calm down will you? No need to become abusive!
It is a challenge and it is doable. Prep accordingly, try different strategies, get help from other players.

    Take a chill pill.

You didn't like the endfight? It's in your rights not to...
I for one, think this quest is great, only did it once, solo'd it on heroic with a lvl 14fvs/monk vistani on R1, and not only the whole quest is quite fun, the endfight is nothing really hard. Just keep killing eyes and then concentrate on the Beholder, or use glitterdust or whatever the strategy you prefer. Can't solo it? Grab a group of people to run it with you. Granted it took me 1 hour to complete, but I was flowersniffing all the way. Granted died once in the endfight, had to jibber in order to kill the boss. Is it challenging? Yes it is. Is it worth come crying to the forums like a spoiled brat? Not so much.

I lagged and got DA4 instantly.
Like it's doable, but it's not fun. The game mechanics punish you for no reason. The quest causes Lag, and punishes the player for causing lag, because reasons.

I ran it unprepared (heroic elite) and went full on beholder; I too had to jibber to finish. Next time will be in a group or pull on in after I sneak through most of it.

I think the glitterdust should be activated before the fight & maybe if rogue use glitterdust traps.

The reason most people have problems with this end fight is they fear that beholder too much. The Beholder is not the danger in this fight...it's the eyes that you should worry about. Kill the eyes when they spawn then work on the beholder after the eye threat is gone.

I completed it on Heroic Elite (At level) with no deaths and no jibbers Solo. Anytime more than one eye popped up...I disengaged the Beholder and took out the eyes.

Does the beholder even have an anti magic eye? I thought the only anti magic in there was from the Siphons. Get away from those or kill them and you can cast just fine.

If you focus the boss, additional waves of trash will spawn on top of the ones you didn't clear. And you'll die. If you clear the trash as it spawns you'll do fine.

The trick in this end fight is the boss spawns waves at health points. Clear waves and controled dps the boss. Trash cleanup is the way to beat this.

As someone else stated the beholder is not the threat.
