Game shuts down after server select

I played the game the last two days. Runs fine. But when i try to get on the next day I select the server it says getting in line to connect and the DDO client just goes away. No error messages. It just stops and I am looking at my desktop.

Yesterday I selected a different server, client ran, got to character select, shut client down. Logged back in and tried the original server and it ran normally.

Today having the same issue.

I have gone through with task manager and shut down anything I think might be DDO related, no change.

Today the using a different server trick isn't working.

Rebooting my system has fixed it so far.

Try installing the DirectX Runtime. You can do this by launching the DDO Client, clicking on the drop-down arrow, and going to Options. From there, click on Repair and click the Install button.

I been having the same issue lately. The first time I rebooted which corrected the issue. When it happened again I started closing programs till it worked. After happening several more times I isolated it to Chrome. So far just completely closing chrome have resolved the issue.

My Motherboard uses the killer network card. I uninstalled the killer application software and just kept the basic drivers installed. This resolved my issue. If your network card comes with any type of software management tool, uninstall them. just install the basic drivers with no options.

I am having the same issue and it is not isolated to DDO. The same is happening when I log into The Elder Scrolls Online. Found out it was a problem with the newest NVIDIA drivers. I reverted to the last driver and everything works fine now.

Tried the triangle/options/repair/install got" unable to find dxwebsetup.exe"

Running Win10/ embedded directX12

downloaded the dxwebsetup.exe from Microsoft. Tried to launch it. Got "directX setup has determined a newer or equivalent version of directx has been installed already"

Tried to launch game again and it worked. Appears to be some sort of directx issue.

I am having the same issue and it is not isolated to DDO. The same is happening when I log into The Elder Scrolls Online. Found out it was a problem with the newest NVIDIA drivers. I reverted to the last driver and everything works fine now.

I was having the same issue and I did finally figure out it was the Nvidia drivers as well (after reinstalling DirectX several times) the newest set of drivers fixed the problem for me.

I tried the repair but it comes up with Unable to find dxwebsetup.exe. So I went to Microsoft website and downloaded it and still nothing. any other ideas please?
