"Disciples Of Rain" Static group on Orien needs 2 more lvl 14-15

Our group which has been meeting weekly for about 4 years now on Orien has had a couple of players drop out recently due to RL constraints and needs two new players. We meet weekly on Mondays at 8PM eastern and generally play together for about 2 hours per week. We are all lvl 14 or 15 (mix of 1st and 2nd life) so you will need to have a character of around that level on Orien or roll up an iconic. We have artificer, druid, rogue and ranger so, while a healer type would be ideal, all classes and experience levels are welcome to join. We run quests mostly on elite if we have a full group but sometimes on hard depending on the quest.

to expand on this a bit - the artificer is dwarven axe melee, the druid is a caster (can do healing or nuking, but not so great at doing both at once), rogue is assassin (I think), and ranger tempest (I think). So while a healer would certainly be helpful, a nuker to free up the druid for healing, or a CCer or tank to take some heat off the DPSers would also be beneficial. And, to reiterate what was said above, any class/build would be welcome. We happily adapt to what we have Also, think we're all ready to level to 15 now, so an iconic would fit in just fine, and we all have a variety of alts, so can work around other level ranges as well (heroic levels only, though; at least some of us have no epic-level characters on the server).

Hey, if I looked at this list, I'd say, really, anything at all could fit in this group So, really, if there's any iconic you've been thinking of trying out, go for it! Sure, a healer would be nice, but we adapt - whatever you want to play would be a fun addition

Hi all

Since we're getting close to (and some are already at) 20, I thought it might be good to get everyone's thoughts on reincarnation. With Carwan graciously offering to make a new level 1, we won't need to go all the way to 30, so we should decide whether we want to reincarnate as soon as everyone is at 20 (would mean having to buy hearts, I expect), or take some time to farm for tokens first. I'm fine either way, so would like to hear what everyone else's preferences are.

As for the make-up of the new group - I'm happy with the players we have now, think we work together well, and think we could have fun with just the 5 of us, each playing whatever class/race we want (can always grab a pocket healer if needed, after all). Of course, this would also be a good time to add a 6th if anyone wants to join

For myself, I've been thinking of going elf wizard (pale master), to complete the "pet" theme Tirana started with the artificer and continued with the druid. If no one else is inclined to play anything with rogue skills, I'd be happy to splash rogue, so we'd have that covered if needed. I'd also like to get everyone's thoughts on whether to try to bring back the "light RP" we started with. If so, I've got a back story all ready to write up

Sadly I will not be continuing with you on your next life. I've enjoyed the group but I'm in a different place now in the real world than I was two years ago when I joined the Disciples of Rain. I will continue with the group until you are ready to TR at level 20 so that we all complete a life together. I am starting a new job in a few weeks and also going to be taking a class next semester but I'm unsure of the time commitments involved and can't commit to this static group anymore as I transition to a new phase in my life.

That does change things somewhat, though - while I have really enjoyed playing with you all, I'm not very enthusiastic about having to rebuild the group again if more than one or two people are thinking of leaving. So...how are the rest of you feeling about continuing? Eager to start another life, or ready to retire after a good run?

Obvius i want to continue I think we should go on as a 4some grp if we cant get a new member.
But lets stay optimistic for now and see if we cant find some1 to join us. We are after all a friendly bunch

With the danger of sounding cheap i think we should farm the TR materials. We dont have to do epic instances.
We can do Cannith challenges as many times a day as we want(or is that only as VIP?)

Im fine with some light roleplaying. At the very least i can write a good background story.

For my next character i would like to bring an old PnP idear into DDO.
I will be Akarn Ironaxe, a tough "old" alcoholic dwarf warrior. Yes i know its a cliche but its fun to put your own twist and idears into it.
Class will be barbarian, fighter or bard dps toon depending on grp composition.

I know we talked last week about going ahead & reincarnating for this week, but I'm not quite sure I'm going to be ready by tomorrow evening - still haven't cleared out my reincarnation cache, and don't know if anyone was planning to play a rogue or artificer, so not sure whether or not to splash rogue (I'd want to do that at level one, if so). If the rest of you still want to go ahead with reincarnating tomorrow, let me know what classes you were planning to go with (so far all I know is Tirana - wizard or wiz/rogue and Carwan - some kind of dwarf melee type), and I'll get to work clearing out my cache. If others aren't quite ready yet, well, maybe we could wait another week and finish getting Cyrilath leveled up first
