Domain / Turn Undead Question

Does anyone know if the benefits from active Turn Undead uses in certain Domains work with alternate uses of Turn Undead?

For example : if I was a Magic Domain Cleric and I used Positive Energy Burst would I get "a Divine bonus to Universal Spell Power equal to twice your Cleric level for 20 seconds"?

My experience indicates that abilities that use Turns activate the Domain's passive buffs such as the ability in your OP about the Positive Energy Burst.

Keeping in mind my experience is currently at my 8th Racial Cleric life and doing a different domain each life .

p.s. : from a caster pov, do you think i could get away with a necro-cleric with magic domain instead of death?

On getting away with Magic vs Death domain.

I think that has more a lean towards your goal as a cleric.

The Death Domain ups the DC's of Necromancy spells (Slay living, harm/inflict, Destruction and Cause Fear), and Magic ups the DC of Evocation

Now the advantage with Magic domain is that it does have a Universal boost to Spell Power, something your harm/inflict spells could benefit from as a boost to your ability to heal your undead ally.

But the reality is that the Dark Emissary line is the contributor to your SLA pool of negative energy spells and if your intention was not to worry as much about their DCs but instead want to pump their power then I don't see why Magic would not work out nearly as well.

Racial-ing through with Cleric instead of Warlock! Is such a thing even possible?


I have to ask - is it the Blade Barrier and the Turn Undead making a lot of quests just go *pop* as you run through them? Or are there other things that are making Cleric as appealing as it is for Racial-PL running?

Yes, that was what I was doing until their gods-forsaken excuses for domains.
