Edit: I forgot that you can't reroll raid chests. Bets on how.long it will take for that to change?

So I guess the change to Single Dagger makes it officially not intended to work with any form of shield build (save swashbucklers?). Bit of a disappointment given the dev team plays Vol builds or so they say. It'd be a nice boost on a Vanguard, Warpriests, or even a druid.

Edit: And still no fix for Dethek Runestone.

well, it also dépends how its impremented, if its a boost similar to mimic bait, it would make it a 1 time use. factor in you (at the moment) would only get one via beign Lucky with the dice rolls in the 1st place limit the perception you pay for gear. while you can technically pay for AS for more dice rolls, it would be far from efficient. what I do NOT want to see is those discovery pot in the shop, its bad enough only VIP/heavy shard user get to find those via Lucky dice rolls.

I think we can all be sure these will be in the DDO Store.

So, the devs have been to an EA workshop?
I heard lootboxes worked wonders for their latest star wars product.
I gues makking propperly ballanced content on a regular basis is out of the question?

I'm sure those that bought RL and take part in Sentient leveling will use them right away, but I didn't buy the expansion. I don't have the bank space to save them when eventually in the next 10 years I might buy RL. at least be able to put them in the green bags? would the response be "buy RL"?

I was looking at this all crazy for a minute until I realized you weren't talking about buying Real Life. Heh.

I see some stacking issues in my near future as well with that new stuff on the Rolls lists, but I'll figure something out.

Default Don't Put Elixirs of Discovery in the DDO Store

Do not put these Elixir of Discovery items in the DDO store. This is crossing a serious line when it comes to adding pay-to-win to the game...

If it remains only on gold daily dice than the Discovery Elixir shouldn't be an issue... just added value to VIP however, if it becomes a store item people (myself included) are concerned that they will decrease named item drop rates to increase sales of said Elixir.

Also there is the concern that since they do not disclose drop rates we have no way of knowing if the Elixirs even work or how well they work; thus leading to poor purchasing decisions.

It's pretty naive to think that they would spend development time and money just to add something to the DD rewards and not plan on putting them in the store. Yes, it might bring in a few extra bucks that way via shards, but it's also a good way to ease things like this into the game at an incremental pace to ease the shock. I personally believe there's almost a one hundred percent chance the elixirs end up in the store-eventually-if not very soon.

I think you're right but I'm hoping you're wrong. It would also be naive to think that they would not reduce drop rates to increase sales, because that is a no-brainer, especially as they do not reveal drop rates so we couldn't claim to know for sure.

I, too, hope I'm wrong. Unfortunately, I think history says otherwise. :/

I dunno, I like the loot pots. I guess having only 2-3 hours gametime in each week I don't mind being able to up my chances for named loot, even in raids...

Maybe we'll get lucky and the loot booster will multiply the chances by 115% for the +15% booster instead of adding an additional 15 percentage points to the chance. Then they'll be close to worthless and we won't have to worry about the Pay to Win addition.

as far as im concerned they should add it to the store. the more choice we have the better.
i personaly would like to see more things like this added. would i use them sure i would. would
i put money into the game to buy shards to buy these items?. not a chance. would i spend tp
points i aquired from running content to buy these items from a store sure i would. therefore
this item is not pay to win in anyway but it is possibly play to get a bit better odds on pulling
    a random named item.

And you're free to have your own opinion.

But from what you say here, it's clear that you don't understand what the phrase 'pay to win' means. You're interpreting the phrase literally. Do a goggle search.

i guess this is your version of pay to win.
Games that let you buy better gear or allow you to make better items then everyone else at a faster rate
and then makes the game largely unbalanced even for people who have skill in the game without paying.

i just dont agree with your presumption that by adding these items that the game would become unbalanced.
