Default Best Non Raid Tempest Gear Layout.

I went back to Ranger from Kensei.

Needing suggestions on gear layout. This is where I am at. Silent Avenger is set in stone. Rest could be flexible. Have access to 90% of any gear from quests.

    Silver Avenger:
    Armor: Disciple of Dawn (PRR/Profane/Fort/Parrying)
Belt: Braided Cutcord (Dex / Blurry / Qual Dex / Qual Dodge)
Cloak: Shadowhail Cloak (Ghostly / Deception)

    Adherent:
    Gloves: Crumbling (Ins Dex)
    Necklace: ?
Boots: ShadowStep (Dex / Doubleshot / Ins Dodge) or?
Ring A: Nightfall (Ins Deadly, Ins Int) or?
    Ring B: Pinnacle (Deadly) or?

    Non RL Gear:
Helm: Executioner’s (Seeker / Ins Deception)
Wrist: CC (34): CON / Resistance / Sheltering. Make do Slavers for better stats and 3 piece bonus

Would love to fit in Speed item to keep Epic Reflex Feat at 27. Can Permahaste if I have too.
Also using dire charge on a dex build at 27.

    Pure Scourge Tempest:
Feats: Precision, Quicken, Completionist, Emp Heal, IC: Slash, IC: Ranged, Quick Draw, OC, Wellspring, PTWF, Epic Reflexes, Elusive Target, Dire Charge, SoEP, PL Rogue.

    9 Scourge
    45 Tempest
    8 KTA
    26 DWS

going by a ddo wiki screen shot of mist laden vestments it has a very low max dex bonus. if this is correct the reason I think the OP is doing the disciple of the dawn armor is because they want to get a very high dodge, and they are a dex build so why not take advantage of having the real high dex?

Too bad silent avenger set locks you out from using the best non raid cloak in the game for melee. But, set bonus is better then a single item for obvious reasons so...

You've run into a question I really should think about; since I've been lazy and haven't "upgraded" from my old 5 piece slavelords set with CC thrown in set from before ravenloft was a thing.

    Let's think this through:

Silent Avenger is too good to pass up.
Lore Fueled Packbanner is amazing. (It's at +3 insightful doublestrike over the next best item, and also gives a lot of insightful con)
Executioner's Helm is amazing (Relentless fury is great in general, and the other stats are quite good too).

Ravenloft set bonus (if you can get it) is pretty decent
Slavelords set bonus (if you can get it) is still very good.

Other then that; you need to make sure you cover all the good stats that you need.
Ring of Prowess is still an option to consider for deadly, since it's only 2 behind the power curve and does give a fairly unique melee power bonus.
I would also be considering how well I could transition the gearset into upgrading to raid loot; not sure if that's a concern for you.

Note that Know the Angles (which you say you're using) grants Insightful Deadly; so it's not going to stack with your ring of nightfall. (Something which I pointed out to the devs before they released the item).

I believe ring of Nightfall does stack with KTA. I beleive this was verified not too long ago by Someone in one of the recent Ravenloft Monk Gearing threads.

I run this on my AA ranger:
Goggles: CC: WIS / Ranged Alacrity / Insightful Wis / (Striding)
    Armor: Disciple of Dawn (PRR/Profane/Fort/Parrying)
Belt: Braided Cutcord (Dex / Blurry / Qual Dex / Qual Dodge)
Cloak: Shadowhail Cloak (Ghostly / Deception)
    Quiver: Blunt ammo quiver
Gloves: CC: Corrosion / Armor Piercing / Ins Dex
Necklace: Kindred Pendant (Adherent) CHA / Enchant / INS Enchant.
Boots: ShadowStep (Dex / Doubleshot / Ins Dodge)
Helm: Executioner’s (Seeker / Ins Deception) (Sorc Bonus)
Wrist: Slaver’s: CON / Resistance / UMD / Qual Con (Sorc Bonus)
Trinket: Slaver’s (Ins CON / TS) (Sorc bonus)
Ring A: Insightful Commands (Ins Accuracy / Profane / Qual Deadly)
    Ring B: Leg Prowess

Swap out ranged alacrity with melee alacrity. This lets me run the +DC high WIS setup for paralyzer's.

For my monk, I run this, you should be able to run the same setup but with the leather armor form the Avenger set.

    Silver Set:
Armor: Disciple of Dawn (PRR / Parrying / Fort / Profane)
    Cloak: Shadowhail Cloak (Deception)
Belt: Cutcord (Dex / Qual Dex / Qual Dodge / Blurry)

    Adherent Set:
Bracers: Lore Fueled PackBanner (Ins Con / Ins Doublestrike / PRR)
Boots: Fleetfoot Greaves (FoM / Speed / Natural Armor / Reflex)
Necklace: DawnHerald (WIS) (can also run Pendant of Warrior's focus, then switch Ring of Prowess to a Ravenloft ring for set bonus and adjust your Trinket).
RingA: Perfect Pinnacle: (Fists / Stunning / Deadly) OR Ring of Nightfall (Ins Dead /Ins Int)
Gloves: Crumbling (Ins DEX / Ins PRR)

    CC / Other:
Helm: Executioner’s (Seeker / Ins Deception)
    Goggles: CC: INT / ??? / Ins Int &(swap) & WIS / Accuracy / Ins WIS
RingB: Slavers: CON / Resistance / Stunning (or UMD) / Qual CON
    Ring: Leg Ring of Prowess
Trinket: CC: DoubleStrike / Dodge / Ins Combat

This requires CC crafting, but mainly to get the ML34 shards.
