Talking VIP vs. Premium. Which one is "better"?

Interesting! Seems like SSG needs to buff VIPs a little...

I have been premium only—I have spent very little on the game and played since 2011 or 2012ish. My points come from favor, not purchases.

I think they're both in a pretty good spot as is. Each has their own niche. VIP is way better for very active players and TR'ers mainly because of the XP bonus. Premium is way better for those who don't play regularly or those who tend to sit at cap. Both have their merits.

Hm, I went premium because I was active back in the day. I purchased content via points which I got fast because of active playing. But you ar right. Now I don't have much time to play anymore and I am very glad to be premium.

I'm mostly the same. Usually I'm premium but I'll buy VIP for a few months if I'm playing alot and ETR'ing, mainly for the XP bonus but the 500 DDO points a month is a nice little side perk. But yeah overall I'm glad I am premium because my playtime fluctuates a lot. Some months I'll play 3 or 4 days a week and others I won't play hardly at all. 2017 in particular I took a long break from the game and it was nice to have everything already paid for when I came back. VIP makes me feel like I have to play to get my money's worth and I've never really liked that part about renting content.

I am happy to be VIP and have been for 6 years I believe.

Most of all for the convinience as I dont need to bother buying packs, races, classes (mostly). I never had to worry if I owned this pack or that pack which is how I like to play.
The xp bonus is a nice little perk as well.

The cost is completely irrelevant to me - my wife still spends far more money than I do and we are both happy that way so the $99.95 each year is nothing.
