Looking to get a monk life out of the way but here’s my issue, I hate playing monks. Is there a like 12 monk 8fighter build or something I can play like a fighter/ Barbarian and just slash my way threw?

Take fighter to 8th, then start taking monk.
Ignore monk until 12th level. Take Kensai enhancement "One with the Blade" so you are Centered with whatever big slashy you want.
Switch to robes/outfits.
Take more monk, and use monk enhancements for extra damage (elemental ki strikes, ninja sneak attack, henshin MP, etc).
Or use Fists of Light for healing (with Shintao Healing Amp).
I know you asked for a melee type (ahem), but if you can stomach a repeater... fast leveler, knocks 20 out easy.

Use this class order through 15 if you don't have a good repeater - if you do, use Slarden's original order, it front-loads faster.
